I think the best players would not necessarily be the most entertaining to watch, so I think if the UK series had been US-style the winners would have been:
BB1: Anna - respected and liked by all, seen as non-threatening, and also very smart and aware. I think Mel would also prove strong. Nick would be the key player but would likely blow his game (again) when people started talking to eachother.
BB2: Dean - think he'd kill it on strategy and also in challenges, he was also liked and respected as the house daddy and had good connections, and he could also slip under-the-radar. Elizabeth would also be strong, but maybe not as respected as Dean. Brian would also be a tough one to beat, but just way too obvious of a threat, maybe Narinder too, but she would probably push it too far and annoy people.
BB3: Kate - strong social game, athletic and very likeable compared to most of the others. Alex would also be a strong competitor but was far too unpopular throughout, especially towards the start.
BB4: Scott - the middle-ground guy, liked by everyone and could probably handle himself well in challenges. Jon would probably be the master strategist but would never be popular enough to reach the end.
BB5: Nadia - she was pretty smart when it counted and knew when to be mature, plus her social game only got better as the series went along, even after her allies were voted out. The Jungle Cats would put up a strong fight but really neglected the social aspect and lost favour with key people like Dan/Shell. Dan would also be strong, but he lacked strong allies and would probably be deemed a major threat.
BB6: Makosi - apart from Saskia I don't think she had any real enemy that could have taken her down. She would probably ruthlessly backstab people, but she seemed to have alot of influence over the house and got away with the majority of her sneakiness. I think BB6 would be a great one in the US style, with players like Makosi, and also Derek, Kemal, Saskia ect
BB7: Glyn - majorly competitive in challenges and had alot of key support from both sides. Pete would obviously be a huge threat but I think he lacks that extra fight in him, being an ally of Richard would greatly benefit him though. I'd love to see how Aisleyne and Grace would play.
BB8: Brian/Samanda - it gets a bit confusing here with the twins since they were classed as 1 housemate. I think Brian would really do well in all aspects of the game (social/strategic/physical), but the twins would be hard to beat.
BB9: Depends which side gained control by winning the challenges, but I think Kathreya, Darnell or Rex would do well here. As soon as B-Block were in control they'd sweep to victory and one of those 3 would win. Other than that I think people like Mario and Luke would be key players.
BB10: no idea, people like Freddie, Marcus, Noirin and Bea would be intriguing players, but would seriously have a battle on their hands to make it to the end. Siavash could probably sneak under the radar but he seemed to have little fight left in him and would crumble by the end. Someone like Sophie or Rodrigo would probably take it for being the most likeable and harmless in a very hostile series.
BB11: Josie - she was pretty solid from start to finish, one or two may have attempted to target her (Steve, Mario, Sam) but they had no momentum to do it with. Josie was sneakily ruthless and if you weren't on her side you weren't in favour with the house in general. Manipulative Dave would also make a good player, if he could avoid his initial unpopularity in the house. Other key players would be Mario, John James and Sam, who would all make a good go of it, but would likely become targets as a result.
BB12: Aaron - bit of a stretch but he would probably play a hardcore game and use his charm to get the relevant people on his side. Can't think of much opposition, apart from Anton, who would take things too far and alienate people, and Jay, who probably wouldn't have the smarts to come out on top.
BB13: ugh, hate to say it but Conor would probably be the biggest threat, he seemed to be quite physical, had a strong social game and apart from Deana and possibly Lydia, did he really have any enemies? He was possibly the most popular member of the Insiders. Adam, Luke A and Lauren had literally nothing against him, and others seemed to think he was God's gift.
From this series, people like Caroline, Lydia, Deana, Adam, Chris, Benedict, would make entertaining players for sure.
Okay complimenting Conor is too much for me, think I need a bath to get the dirt off. Especially after rabbiting on in this incredibly long post. lol
