I'm looking for a bracket to fit to a wall mounted 19" Samsung LCD TV. Basically I have a new Freesat STB connected to this tv and I want it to be mounted just below the TV.

I've looked for a bracket/shelf accessory that will sandwich between the existing VESA mount and the TV, and pillar down to a small shelf below the TV to sit the STB box on.

The TV is a Samsung LE19R88. The STB is a small Bush Freesat box weighing 0.5kg and measuring about 8" by 5" by 1".

I can't find such a bracket anywhere. Probably my lack of Googling skills.

It sounds simple enough. But when you factor in all the different TV sizes, and wall bracket designs, and where sockets are on the TVs, and the possible range of sizes of gear that might want to be supported, and what happens if the TV is on a tilt bracket or a motion bracket... and finally making something at an attractive price compared to existing wall brackets with integrated shelves; well it's all just a little too demanding for a product with a very niche market.

In the end it comes down to profit. In a market dominated by dirt cheap mass-produced Chinese brackets sold by every man and his dog then there just isn't enough money in it.

Have a look at some of the under-shelves that are designed to compliment an existing TV install:

Or try a Google UK search for "AV wall shelf" or similar and click on images for a quick way to scan the results.
