I have the BT (Humax) Youview box which I am very pleased with

if a recording has been partly watched I seem unable to find a quick method to simply play the recording from the beginning
I have the choice of resuming from the last viewed point or having to hold the rewind button down to get back to the start of the recording.

Am I missing something or is this normal? I would have thought that a simple 'Play from start' option' would be available.

You select the programme in the list, so that you get the summary and progress bar on screen, and then use the "skip back" button to get to the beginning with one button press.

I don't have a Humax but on my machine the "skip back" button is underneath the rewind button.

Thanks that works (Skip back is the button above Rewind on the Humax).

This method is not mentioned in either the BT Youview user manual or the official Humax user manual as far as I can see.

I still think that a 'Play from beginning' as well as 'Resume' option should have been provided

On older Humax boxes you pressed the play button twice quickly to get it to start again from the beginning, which used to drive me mad on my slow-to-respond 9200T. Not tried it on the Youview

Agreed. The actual method is not obvious and I discovered it by accident.

You can also rewind the "resume" marker back to the start using the left arrow key on the silver ring on the remote.

You can also press a number and it will go to that position. O to start at beginning.

You can type in the time in minutes you want it to start from. 0=from the start, 60=1 hour in, etc.
