I got 3 months 1/2 price line rental for renewing my contract, but that was it.

If you want the really cheap deals then it's time to cancel your contract and start again with them, the downside is a new number every 12 months....

The 7600 is an awful phone in terms of features and looks.

What makes you think otherwise, have you seen it?! No video calls, weird buttons.....

{off topic] Woohoo 1000 posts!

I'm talking about the phone not the network.

Lots of people are using video calls on three now.

And yeah so it has some of the functions of the 6230, except that unlike the cool looking 6230, the 7600 looks like a womans makeup box.

If you are a woman, then fair enough, its a very pretty phone

Sorry from your earlier post below I understood you were referring to phone features..........

Also its free line rental by redemption, so you have to wait 12 months to get it all back.

And I think you will find that most people do care about the phone. Fair enough its a reasonable deal in terms of tariff, but the handset spoils it. Thats the catch. Great tariff, embarrassing phone

I'd rather have the E1000 FREE on Video Talk 750 with £11.99 line rental for 12 months.

Works out you pay £140 for a pretty darn good phone

The 7600 isn't that bad a phone, I used to have one before my A1000.

Although my A1000 is about 2 billion times better, the 7600 did have it's good points. The only things that let it down were the non-expandable memory, the quiet MP3 ringtones (had to use 3rd party software to increase volume), the crap speaker phone and also after 6 months or so the memory failed and wiped all my photos, ringtones, videos and even the preset ringtones and graphics.

Other than that it was a decent phone and the shape and size wasn't too bad either.

I would go for the LG instead if you can, as long as you don't want bluetooth (only thing that lets the LG down) or the E1000 or A1000 if you can get them.

Special deals are good but network is dodgy in some parts of the UK. Central Scotland (where I live) has many problems including network outages, calls failing to connect, calls dropping and the limited content services are intermittent and slow.

You get what you pay for really

Dont side step. You brought up the deal with the 7600. I just wanted to point out that the 7600 is not a very good phone in terms of features and appearance.

I've already stated my opinion regarding the network.

I have never had any major issues with the network - yes a few calls have dropped, but not many, and I've been with them for nearly 18 months. But the free cross network calls are brill, the reception has never been a problem with me at least - unless it's an area where all the operators have signal issues.

My biggest bugbear with them is when you try and call the call centre's. You get put through to some muppet in India who has no conception of customer service, or even able to answer the most simple of questions.

Recently got the a1000 - damn fine phone compaired to my old nec e606 which was horrible.

I know a few people who have the LG handsets and have said that they are the worst things they have ever had - phones keep switching themselves off, even if the battery has been fully charged, camara probs.

I would say to anyone though - try them, they are improving all the time.
