So I have created this one....unless anyone finds the other one then maybe merge it? Either way....massive news that has me all of a dither....NEW Music FINALLY is on the way...

Electric Lady will be the much anticipated follow up to her phenomenal debut studio album The Archandroid released the summer of 2010 (her Metropolis EP from 2008 is also worth a check out as that is where the story started)

But her Neo-Soul/Funk/Jazz/Old SKool Pop sounds are so damn distinctive, he unique style is destined to become iconic...I just hope with Electric Lady will launch her to a new level...after collaboratin with FUN. last year on their hit "We Are Young" and in 2011 performed a full set at glastonbury which introduced her to an establishing UK fanbase.

She is also a very diversely influenced artist too...with Prince, Bowie, Madonna, Kate Bush, grace Jones, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Little Richard, John Lennon, Bjork...among her much appreciated artists and influences from time to time....she is destined for big things...

Thanks for providing the link to The ArchAndroid, I haven't heard it before so I am going to listen now before deciding whether to purchase or not!

She's great, I really like her neo-soul sound, she is promising.

I reckon itll be a great price...its a pefect kinda bluesy Spring to Summer record in scope...it has a psychadelia about it i ADORE it...it may take re-listens to grasp the content and story of the album...but damn its worth it.

Yeah its a sound that i hope she can FINALLY break out more this year...in 2010 Electropop was still in the mainstream so made it tougher...but hopefully with her glasto performance, recent feature with Fun. and new prospects with her record label we will see her finally break out and do much like Madonna, Prince, Bowie befor eher and steadily grow into public consciousness....thats what i hope anyway...she is so damn gifted i love it

Speaking of Outkast...i do hope Andre 3000 and Big Boi collaborate with Janelle again....BB did amazing on Tightrope for the debut single of The Archandroid and she is signed to their label so thats cool...cannot wait to hear Q.U.E.E.N!

The "Dance Apocalyptic" video is amazing. I love the fact she's left the tux behind for this video, and shown her more feminine side.

I am so excited for this album. I can't wait to hear it in full. Something tells me this won't disappoint and will be well worth waiting for.

Love the new song, it might be a hit for her! Having said that I hope for more conceptual type songs on the album.

Unless she's changed her plans, Janelle did say that her next studio album wouldn't be the fourth suite in the Metropolis series. That doesn't mean she won't carry on with theme, but it probably won't follow the story of Cindi and Anthony.

It is pretty snappy and catchy..and with mainstream music opening up to real Dance/old skool music and Neo Soul then hopefully this will be Janelles breakout song she deserves it and it sounds so fresh and catchy! and yeah the video is insane fun!

the video reminds me of Outkast's Hey Ya! - i don't know if that was on purpose seeing she's good friends with Big Boi????
