This is why she is one of my favourites- brave face despite what Jack (rightfully) did- and I loved her bits with Ian! Sharian forever!!! (As friends)

Poor Denny though, I felt sorry for him- shame he likes Jack. But I thought Sharon was great, telling Jack what to do and putting on the brave face. The Sharon Rickman I know and love would have done this

No she just embarrassed herself, though I'm glad her relationship with Jack over.

The end of Shack is a relief

For me, it was the fact she stayed strong and carried on for everyone's sake. Dot was right- underneath that smile was a troubled girl because thats how Sharon Rickman (pre 2012) was

It was cringy as hell because she didn't pull it off, but yes it's exactly what someone like Sharon would have done. I didn't like it because I think it would have been better had it turned out differently: if Sharon had had a huge party that was attended by loads, came out with a big smile and won them all over, had a great party, a huge success, convince everyone that she's fine and that it was a mutual thing, and then slip off quietly as the party is in full swing, showing up on Phil's doorstep and showing vulnerability.

Why is she so needy?!
I was cringing when she was basically begging Jack to go through with the wedding.
I thought she was fiesty!?

Agree. I thought that was the whole idea but she just looked a mess at the party.

She put her pride before any consideration for the guests. She could see how upset Denny was and how uncomfortable everyone was but insisted they played her game.

I did love Sharon tonight. She put her pride before anything and I admire anyone who can do that.

Sharon making a spectacle of herself in public was clearly meant to prolong the humiliation. Not sure why EE puts her and us through that experience. I was desperately trying to read against the grain to save Sharon a bit of dignity but it turned out to be an impossible exercise. Particularly when she went crawling back to Phil

Glad Angie is dead, she would have smack her round the chops for last nights performance.
All that bobbing up n down and OTT breathless squawking.
Absolute bloody disgrace.

EE right now is 1 notch higher than the worst its ever been. Just janine to ruin and that starts next week.

I'm sorry, I wasn't aware you knew the game plan for Janine in it's entirety. Can I have next week's lottery numbers if you're playing Mystic Meg?

Sharon was like a character from a 1980's serial like Dallas or Dynasty

This is not Sharon. All the characteristics that made her such a brilliant character have been taken away from her. She's needy, desperate, prideful, judgemental, shallow, arrogant, selfish, you name it. It is clearly IMPOSSIBLE for these writers to write for Sharon the way she's supposed to be written. I wish Letitia had stayed away this time.

Its strange how when Sharon first arrived she was stuck to Denny side, now she just parms him off to Ian or Dot.
Sharon should have went home to be with Denny, she knew he was taking the whole wedding being called off thing bad. Instead she ran off to shag Phil.

This. So much.

I understand that Dennis' death has clearly messed Sharon up, big time, and that 7 years on she's still not come to terms with it. But there were so many points in last night's episode when I just thought, no this is not Sharon any more. Sharon's character was always defined by how, what ever life threw at her, she picked herself up again and got on with things. That's what made her a tragic heroine. Now she's just tragic.

When she walked down the aisle to Jack it was almost biblical. I thought she was going to heal the lame and cure the sick by the laying on of hands.

When she sad to Jack 'what about Denny' I was expecting her to add 'who's going to look after him now'

Thats what she was thinking in her head, 'whose going to look after Denny, while I go off and snog Phil'.

Actually she reminded me a bit of Angie (yes I know they weren't blood relatives), remember how needy she was with Den, begging him to stay and faking illness to stop him going, then after mental cruelty bust up number 5000, she would pause, take a deep breath and March behind the bar smiling like nothing happened.

I loved Angie. Easily the best female character EE ever had and so brilliantly played. She was always believable even at her most dramatic.

I felt bad for her, I could see what she was trying to do but it just failed and made her look sad. She should of said to Jack ''Ok then I'll be fine'' took Denny and just gone.
