I kind of thought in terms of the talent, that was perhaps one of the best BGT openers, if not the best.

I like how busy this thread has gotten - the ratings will be interesting.

BGT doesn't take itself seriously its the much better show. I predict great things for yet another series fingers crossed it gets the ratings it truly deserves and beats The Voice. ”

The episode was really great.

Was missing two elements for me.
A bit more Ant and Dec in the links (on screen banter) and a Where's Me Keys Where's Me Phone?? Britain's Got Talent rap-style thing

Just caught the repeat of the show today. What an entertaining show that was, quite easily the best programme of this year. Full of talent, pazazz and genuinely moving talent especially those Hungarian dancers. Such pertinent dancing which moved me to tears. I hope future programmes are capable of living up to the high standard that yesterday's programme reached. x.

Well, people obviously enjoyed it. The show peaked at 13 million (52% share of the TV audience) and averaged 10.6m which on average is the joint most watched launch, and the highest ever peak for a BGT launch show.

Just caught it on ITV2 and loved it, I thought the Gospel Choir and the Shadow Dancers were great. Alice and the little girl were good but, not much different from what we've seen before. What's great about BGT is seeing acts we wouldn't normally see, I would have much rather see a "chopping wood" guy than yet another singer (especially another singer who cries)!

Does anyone know Scarlet's full name? I want to look for her on You Tube.

Loved it when David said to one of the bad acts last night "I think you should try The Voice" clever little dig I thought.

I thought so too!

I think singers still audition partly because it's far easier for to win BGT than The X Factor. From my rough calculations BGT has about six stages to pass before victory, whereas The X Factor has around 15 in total!

Hmm, let's see.

Producers auditions, judges auditions, semi-finals and final. More like 4!

But I don't want to see more than two or three singers (the best out of the lot) in the final.

^ I counted the judges deciding who to put through to the semi-finals as a stage, as I'm thinking of the number of opportunities where you could be eliminated. Noting what you said, that should take my estimation up to six stages...but I've forgotten what the other one not mentioned was!

Anyway, let's move on. I'm starting to sound like I enjoy maths!

Just show the replay monday night on itv 2, the act with the shadow could win this year Britain's got talent. In the french version (i'm french) a german group called "die mobiles", did the same type of act, and they won the 7th season

Semi-final act : http://www.last-video.com/die-mobile...le-talent-2012
