I was a bit shocked to see Leona. But if it's true, then I'm more than happy for her.

Why. Her figure has been like that for like 3 years now.

Why? Seriously, I don't get why people are trying to deny that she was ever successful...

Why are people surprised to see Leona there? Her album 'Spirit' is the single biggest selling album to ever be put out by any contestant to appear on the show. Add to that her second album, which was a success and her touring. People are like goldfish, unless it's happened in the last 5 minutes they forget LOL.

Oh no, Leona is one of my favourite artists of all time - I know she's been incredibly successful. I was just a bit surprised to see her third on the list, I would have expected a little lower due to recent times - thrilled for her though.

It mentions JB (JLS) but not the other lads - unless he makes money from his farming too

I thought Jedward might be there - aren't they supposed to be millionaires now

lolz!! a number of people tied at no 8, earning £6M apiece but they cut down the list to Top Ten listing only 11 names... sloppy, sloppy journalism...

She's tied with Katie Melua, who hasn't been in the charts recently.

Thats what im really surprised at? I would have thought Aston would have made the most as he got on the judging panel on Got To Dance. JB hasnt really done much solo apart from last years Strictly xmas special Maybe JB is the one thats been the most sensible with his money? He does seem to come across in interviews like the most mature of all the JLS boys

Leona's not a one hit wonder,

Singles

A Moment Like This - Number 1

Bleeding Love - Number 1

Better In Time - Number 2

Forgive Me - Number 5

Run - Number 1

Happy - Number 2

Collide - 4

Hurt - 8

Trouble - 7

Albums

Spirit - Number 1 - Certified nine times platinum - Sold Over 8 Million Copies Worldwide.

Echo - Number 1 - Double Platinum - Sold around 2 Million Copies Worldwide.

Tour

The Labrynth Tour - 20 Arena Dates - Seven of which completely sold out.

The Glassheart Tour - 16 date UK tour - Several have sold out, including one at the Royal Albert Hall, the second night is close to selling out too. A further 5 dates in Germany and another in Switzerland.

So yeah I think it is fair to say she isn't a one hit wonder like many like to claim, yes she isn't doing aswell now as she once did, but she certainly is not a one hit wonder and it really isn't hard to see how she made her money. Plus she has been constantly in demand for private gigs worldwide too, which all pay a fair bit.

the one hit wonder tag comes from the us i seem to remember, where `bleeding love` was by far her biggest hit. it certainly isn't a relevant tag for her in the uk and many other territories though. most of her riches were made at the beginning of her career through the success of her first album. her position on that list is hardly surprising really, all things considered.

The one hit wonder tag shouldn't come into it at all imo, who cares if she only managed a couple hits in the US, Better In Time was successful aswell, there is a whole world outside of it where she has scored other hits.

i think if i remember correctly, it was an american idol executive that dubbed her a one and a half hit wonder. personally, i agree with you and that is why i wrote words to that effect in my post. i was just pointing out that in america her track record doesn't reflect what she has achieved elsewhere in the world.

I'm sure I once read he'd also gone into property buying - JB seems to have a business head on his shoulders

The rich list only includes people who live/work predominantly in the UK. Jedward live/work predominantly in Ireland.

It is also intersting to see how their money has grown over the past year

Not sure that is true. U2 are on the list so is David Bowie who lives in NY.

Jedward probably have somewhere between one and four million, missing the list. I'm thinking nearer the one million mark.

Nadine Coyle is an interesting one on that list, how is she anymore richer than Kimberley who did Strictly?

I don't think Kimberley would appear on the list now, she is 31 and I think the list is for those under 30, so only Cheryl, Nicola and Nadine can appear on that list.

Oooh, I forgot it was for under 30s. Thanks.
