You're right. Damn these pesky talented foreigners coming over here and stealing the jobs of hard-working eccentric british freaks.

Shouldn't this thread be in the politics forum?

I think there's something not right with Attraction anyways. They perfomed the exact same thing in fall 2012 at the German version of 'Britain's got Talent', named 'Das Supertalent.' I mean, that's a bit fishy isn't it?
They got through to the semi-finals, but were then voted off.

Sounds like Cowell or the producers specifically invited them to take part in the show. Probably paid for their flight tickets and accomodation as well.

In the German version they do that a lot: foreign acts that get to the second round, but are never seen there.

As long as it is an entertaining show with talented, funny or likeable contestants then I'm happy.
Looking back over the last couple of years some of the most enjoyable acts have come from overseas.”

I agree with all of these comments. Are people seriously going to be pedantic about the title of the show? I think it's irrelevant where they come from. The talent part of the title is a lot more important than the Britain's part!

It's one of the few central/eastern European countries that doesn't have a show from the franchise, actually.,

However, Attraction are a fairly commercialised theatre group and tour Europe and the Middle East.

Damned right, KattyKit! I can't believe the OP really asked the question. Wholly inappropriate.

If British people can go over to other countries and go on shows Like X factor, The Voice, Idol and Got Talent then why the hell should we stop foreigners from doing our shows. IMO this thread just sounds like a dig at foreigners just for the sake of it.

Im not having a dig at foreigners at all, please dont take it the wrong way. Simply suggesting that for a show called Britains Got Talent I would have thought only people from Britain should be able to take part. For example on American Idol, Canadians are not allowed to take part.

I think you will find that in season 7 of AI Michael John was on the show and hes from Australia.

So your point means jack and I stand by what I said.

So what are your thoughts about foreigners taking part in Britains got talent? Should this be allowed or not?

Im of the view that they definately should NOT be allowed. Its called Britains Got Talent so the people taking part should be British citizens or people who are residing in the UK. It's ridiculous people from France or Eastern Europe are allowed to audition and take part in this show even though they have their own local versions in their native countries. Also more foreigners in the live shows means less opportunity for raw British acts to get their chance on the big stage to millions of
viewers at home.

Is the British talent pool drying up? Is that why foreigners are increasingly asked to take part in Britains got talent over the last 2 years?”

The best act tonight was British

Michael Johns. He had been living in America for 9 years before he auditioned for America Idol. As Ive said previously, I think it's absolutely fine if people who live in the country audition for the show. But it's not as if Michael Johns was living in Australia and he flew over to America to audition for Idol, he was settled in America long before.

LMAO now who taking it way to far

We are talking about a TV show and some of you are using it as a political bash the foreigners.

By the way do you know if these other countries ban British people or is it just a case of British people cant be bothered to go to another country when they have the show on home soil ???

I think on this note we better stop all foreigners coming on our shows but also to play fairs fair let them stop anyone who is british going to work even if it just one day in their countries. And with that we better get rid of Will I am from the voice after all he not british lol

Yer lets do that make a political stand by using a TV show, you never know we could get the whole world to laugh at us.

Its a TV show FFS

Whilst I'm glad you agree with me, I hope you don't think I'm dissing the the OP. Though I happen to disagree with the OP I still think they have every right to the own opinions.

BTW I thought that Attraction tonight were fabulous and are another foreign act that can be added to my list.
