I had the same argument - it happened last year with that basketball act.

But Attraction were incredible tonight and have created such a buzz online. On Facebook they got the most likes on their picture on the BGT facebook page by a clear mile, same for the likes on YouTube and they were one of the biggest trends on twitter.

So for an act like them - absolutely.

That's the first thing that you've EVER said that I agree with. My own take on it is that if the show is open to people from all over the world, then the title of the show at present is beyond stupid.

The Attraction were my favourite act tonight as well - Best just change the name of the show.

I think one rule should be any foreign acts got to be done in english.

If they allow foreigners on the show why on earth call it Britains Got Talent. Ridiculous.

American Idol has had British, Irish, Bosnian, Mexican, Australian and Costa Rican all take part?

It's called Britain's Got Talent (as in Britain Has Talent) not the British Have Talent.

Britain is just a base for the shows. I really don't see what the problem is? I'd rather genuinely talented "foreign" acts than some the British dance troupes they stack the live shows with every year!

All of whom have lived in America at the time of prior to auditioning. It's different to someone from abroad that doesn't live in this country just coming over to audition for a talent show IMO

Say it doesn't 'have' that talent the day after the filming though, because the act has returned to their home country?

The show needs a new title and then there would be no confusion.

I'm all for acts from anywhere as long as they are good - and not a dog I thought the Attraction were incredible tonight, innovative, impressive and very topical, and can't wait to see what else they do.

If they are given a fair chance I think they could win, but I honestly don't think the British public would vote for them to win because they aren't British, even if they were the best act of the whole series ... although I could be wrong. Obviously, many Brits like dancing dogs, so there's no accounting for taste

edit: I honestly don't think people vote according to talent anyway - at least not all the time

As one of the best acts, if not the best, last night was foreign, they should be allowed to participate..

Plenty of Brits go abroad for talent shows, the guy winning French X Factor for instance.

Yes, when they are that good.

Clearly Britain hasn't got enough talent to sustain a whole season of shows so the net has to be widened. Perhaps the name could be changed to Britain Shows Talent or something and then the whole world could be included!

Well, BGT is practically the most popular European version of the franchise so they obviously wanted to make their mark here - nothing wrong with that - and plus those lot were amazing so I wouldn't mind seeing an act like them on this show no matter where they are from.

For those of you who wish to continue this discussion, please head over to The Daily Mail forums.

Where the countries biggest collection of racists, bigots and UKIP supporters will be happy to discuss this matter at great length!

This reads like one of those deranged comments you tend to find on the Daily Mail website.

Britain's got talent should be predominately british an a few residents that are not brits. Otherwise change the title of the show.

As much as I liked Attraction (they were my favourite act of the night) I think the acts should have been living in Britain for at least a year or something prior to auditioning. It seems acts are just coming over for their audition and probably only spending a day or so in the country at a time.
Although I know of a child who had been living with her family in the UK for over a year and she went to audition last year and at the producers round was told she hadn't been in the UK for long enough, which I thought seemed weird since their are acts getting through to the lives who don't live in the UK at all.

I think they should. It's unlikely that acts like Attraction will find huge success on a international scale if they applied for the Hungarian talent shows.

It's called 'Britain's Got Talent'. So it should be about British talent.

Otherwise rename it.

They kind of did with World Idol. The Norwegian called Kurt Nilsen won, and Simon was annoyed because he thought he was too ugly. He's one of the greatest singers ever though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=way1kwSPdpc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2NEU6Xf7lM

I don't mind foreigners coming to England for talent shows. But I may be biased because I like foreign people. : )

Attraction is my favourite act so far - never seen anything quite like that before. However the show is Britain's got Talent so I guess foreigners coming over here specifically to audition is a bit off.
