Should foreigners be allowed on Britain's Got Talent?

I don't really care to be honest. When the foreign acts get to the live shows they will get stuck on early and the VT/Judges/Ant & Dec will remind us a thousand times that they aren't British - preventing them from getting enough votes to progress/win.

Thankfully by doing this we are at least spared from having to watch 100% national dross in the semi-finals.

Are we really so short of talent in the UK that they have to go looking for dancers to import from Holland or Hungary - or are the programme makers just lazy?

The couple of programmes I've seen this series haven't been all that good, apart from Ant and Dec who are lively and amusing. The panel members are fairly predictable and mostly annoying, especially Alesha Dixon and David Walliams. The occasional dancing item from the Netherlands isn't going to do much to improve the overall quality anyway.

I wonder if Nick Griffin watches BGT?

The problem isn't so much foreigners as I think a few is fine. The problem comes when you are having lots of them on the show. It just dilutes the purpose of the show really. The foreign acts aren't British. So if one of them wins, its hardly an act which is going to represent Britain around the world.

If people originally from abroad are living in Britain, fair enough. This isn't called a talent show, but Britain's Got Talent. Simon Cowell can dress it up any way he wants, but the fact is, this is supposed to be a talent show for the people of Britain. Cowell likes to make the rules up as he goes along. It's ridiculous allowing people that live abroad to take part in this show.

I highly doubt he does. Even if he did though, his party are against non whites, not foreign white people.

Alright don't get all political. What does his party have to do with him watching it or not?

I don't see why people who are originally from other countries but are based/live here cannot go on I know theyre different shows but by that logic, are some saying Ruth Lorenzo shouldnt have been on XF for example? in France, a British person when their version of XF as well.
The prize is £100k + a Royal Variety slot, nothing more.

I am afraid I entirely agree. Its the professional foreign acts that I have enjoyed watching most.

I'm pretty sure it's The Netherland's Got Talent. It covers the whole country, not just Holland. Similar to our program being 'Britain's Got Talent', not 'England's Got Talent'.

Because if he knew beforehand that non whites were in that night's show, he wouldn't watch, because.....he hates non whites.

The fact that one of his policies says that they'd offer money to non whites so that they can go back to their native (or descendants) country, says he does.

I do not see a problem with foreigners performing on BGT as long it in ENGLISH and not their native tongue. and that's not a racist is it.

Britain being a member of the EU signed up to abide by the EU rules, which gives all members the right too freedom of travel\work etc. within the EU without hindrance or discrimination, so as long as we remain a member `foreigners` have every right to participate whether we like it or not .
