Emma should narrate the show imo.Like Davina used to do every Friday highlights show.

Her voice is quite soft and I couldn't imagine her screaming over tasks like
"OOOOOH, AND ITS NECK AND NECK......GARETH IS IN THE LEAD BUT ROMEO CLOSE ON HIS TAIL!!"

Ffs its embarrassing and pointless.
Marcus needs to go and the serious monotone voice needs to be brought back on the eviction countdown.

Emma will have enough to do I reckon, still not sure whether she'll be any good in front of the crowd yet.

Why not go the whole hog and have her as producer, director, taskmaster, wardrobe mistress and all the contestants too?

Definitley not; no offence to her but she doesn't really have "narrator" sort of voice.

And besides, Marcus is Big Brother, he's up there with the theme, the eye(when they used it). When people hear his voice, they thing "Big Brother" - you can't buy marketing like that, have him narrate an ad and people will instantly think about Big Brother - you won't get the same effect with anyone else

I'm really tired or Marcus' narration. I wouldn't mind him if be reigned it back a bit, I hate how OTT he goes nowadays. Nothing against him personally, just take it down a few notches!

And having him do the announcements to the evictees was a terrible idea. Why should the narrator say something that, surely, Big Brother, should be saying?

And, for me, he isn't the show. Davina and the eye were more iconic in my opinion, and it's done okay without them.

since going to channel 5,he seems to have been given a new status
which has made his head too big for him

I'm a Geordie and I've never yet heard an accent so obviously put on like Marcus.

In the same way that Marcus has been to told to up his voice atm,
he was also told to tone it down for BB1,which suited the show at the time

I'm not quite a Geordie but from the North East and I agree, Marcus Bentley lays it on with a trowel as the BB narrator. I don't know this for a fact but I suspect he is actually from the North East (wouldn't like to take a guess which bit but somewhere in the area) but doesn't speak the way he does on BB normally. On Channel 4 I always thought that one of the official BB voices was him too but again it's just a feeling, I've never read it anywhere and too lazy to google it

He was born in Gateshead but grew up in Stockton, I can remember him doing an interview a couple of years ago and he hardly had any accent at all.

Marcus should stay, he is the only real bit of the original BB, we have lost all the other original presenters.

Gateshead and Stockton would explain it. There are certain words that sound very Newcastle-ish and others less so. Thanks for clearing that up

Why not? Why not have her narrate every show, host the main show and also host the spin off? She is the very paragon of what a TV presenter should be.
