I honestly believe if Jessie was male, no one would have an issue with her behaviour.
I quite agree. The men get away with far worse and don't get criticised.

She comes across very needy can understand why she annoys most accept TV fans who won't hear a bad word said about her.

She's a bit boisterous and that does get annoying after a while - like a puppy jumping up all the time wanting attention. It's cute at first but then it gets on your nerves a bit.

BUT, like the other judges, what comes over very strongly through that boisterousness is that she really loves music. She feels the music rather than hears it.

And, I like that in a judge.
And she has a heck of a voice on her.

I expected to dislike Will.i.am but I have found him to be rather endearing.
Danny, he's a bit eager with his sincerity and his style of dress is a bit 'styled by Top Man' rather than rock star cool, but I like him too.

And Sir Tom, I like him better now he has aged. He's an old rogue with a twinkle in his eye and I think he's like a big Bear. The others know that he could kill them with a swipe of his big paw.

I think they all make a good team of judges.

Her patois accent is particularly jarring, as is her constant singing along.

Fundamentally the problem with Jessie J is that she just doesn't have the credibility to be a judge. Most of the acts are better singers than she is.

Now here I would have to disagree most vehemently.

She may not have a style or music genre I like, coupled with the estuary accent, but she Can definitely sing. Even My husband acknowledges this and he is more into Rock music with the likes of Gillan singing.

A judge of singing doesn't need to be a good singer themselves. Any more than an athlete's coach needs to be able to run faster than the person they are coaching.

It did seem to me that some of the criticisms she's given to rejected acts were acute and valuable. (Where she seemed to fail was in pitching herself. She rarely had a good argument to be picked other than "I love your performance and I turned first", and "I'm a girl! Like you!" Where-as the others talked about what they had to offer.)

What is your opinion on will.i.am and Danny's voices?

I think that's a problem with the music industry though. How many female equivalents are there to Danny and Will? Probably easier to find someone similar to Tom Jones, but even that would be difficult. There are some great female songwriters and performers, but it's harder to find one that's a producer too, and it's the producers who can really make or break a career.

Jessie's actually grown on me. I've gone from thinking she's just totally attention seeking and annoying to thinking well she's got a good and big heart and she's just irrepressible - (largely in a good way)! Do think she pressurises people though - 'steal steal' etc. Think I'd find her hard to cope with in person.

Anyway, was 'lol'ing at her making out Will i am's second 2 battlers (well 1 and 2) were screeching - Jessie J's first 2 - the ones singing the Katy Perry song - were BOTH just AWFUL - chavvy and naff singing style, like bad hen night karaoke - and all that f-ing bad GROWLING they were both doing- urgh! Just awful! When they were singing, all the judges looked a bit bemused/horrified and then Jessie was saying how brilliant they were!

What annoys me far more about her is the way she acts and how she has to take over everything. She is the most irritating cretin imaginable.

i couldn't believe it when she put her fingers in her ears during cleo's battle, moaning about it being 'too much' and giving her a headache. how rude!

Why? They were shit. At least she didn't say that. She was honest and not mean. Simon would have crucified them.

She's not getting on my nerves nearly as much as she used to, and when she does the annoying things - prancing about, the catchphrases etc - I just kind of ignore her now. All the judges have annoying things about them and good things about them imo, and I like how different they are from each other.

When it comes to them showing the judges actually coaching and working with the contestants, like it did last night, Jessie is actually my favourite at that - she really seems to get it. Tom and Will don't really seem to do much, and Danny looks a bit clueless (although that could just be his natural expression lol), but Jessie really works well with the contestants at that stage, I think.

I thought she did well to last as long as she did before putting her fingers in her ears! They were awful, I had to turn the sound down on the telly.

I actually had to take a couple of pain meds for the headache they gave me. If that is what I was hearing n my computer, I can only imagine what they heard in the studio. Beyond awful.

I like her. I think she's honest. She always tries to give constructive feedback unlike some of the others - e.g. Tom who just says something bland.

Sure I find her music really irritating - I am not a fan of hers at all - and maybe she's a bit hyperactive (I'm sure loads of celebs are) but I don't get the hate for her as a person/judge. And, though I dislike all her songs, she really has a voice on her.

Pretty sure she knows

Glad to see there's a few more positive posts for Jessie now. She's by no means my favourite person but the stick she gets on here is uncalled for and smacks of misogyny quite frankly. Danny is pretty much on a par in the irritation stakes but it seems he gets a free pass.

Dude, you seriously need to chill. You and some people in this thread take things way too seriously if, of all people, Jessie J is raising your blood pressure. It's not even like you guys are saying she's annoying that's the end of it. You go totally in on it like she is the most offensive person to grace the planet. Everything she does, no matter how unaffected, you despise. I hope she is breathing just the way yu want her to or you might explode. You clearly need some more positivity in your life because it's obvious you are way too uptight. Maybe you should laugh more because that's exactly what she's doing every single week when people like you tweet her about petty things likes this and yet, she's still living her dream.

I wanna keep it Reeeeal.. !!
I really think your Greaaaaat !!
You are amaaaazing !!
I just want you on my Teeeeam !!
what can I saaaay !!

Aaarrrgh!! just shut up please..
I think part of that is that she has quite a strong Essex accent a la Jodie Marsh - Eh-siiiiiii ix.
She's obsessed with that ee ee ee ee ooo ooo OOH warbling thing that she does herself too - if anyone does that she's on that buzzer. I find all the Carey/Aguilera style acrobatic warbling a bit naff and too much - contrived - no neeed!

I'm not quite sure how you can have an opinion without actually knowing me?

Why are you calling me dude? are you a surfer or just somebody who is trying to hard to fit in?

I dont need anymore positivity in my life thankyou. Posts as bad as yours give me all the positivity and hapiness I need thankyou very much.

If it makes you happy i find Jessie J really annoying

I agree entirely. There is at least one poster on the latter stages of this thread who is full of misogyny, judging by these and posts on other threads.
