I had my 1st experience of a Greggs product on Friday. A hot tuna, cheese melt baggette thing. It tasted nice enough but it looked like someone didn't put much effort in to making it.

I don't really like their baguettes or sandwiches that much. I like tuna but their tuna baguettes are just vile.

I've never been into a Greggs. Nothing I have seen through the windows appeals to me in the slightest.

They don't do any sourdough breads. Therefore I won't go in.

A TV documentry series called Greggs; More Than Meats The Pie, or something similar, starts on Sky in a week or two. Might be worth a look.”

Blame the VAT man.

Marone! Paulie, the boys down at Satriale's won't like this, stick to what you know my friend. Sil' loves his Canoli's.

Maybe not, but they are greasy, not that I have been in a Greggs for a few years now. My Mum liked their sausage rolls, but when I tried them i thought they was greasy.

i do buy their bake at home ones from Iceland and find they are ok, maybe because I cook them on a pizza mesh, so the fat drips off. Talking of which I got to get another pizza mesh.

I was going to tell you SIl. I've been paying a few visits to a fine Turkish bakery in Green Lanes, Haringey for some while now. It isn't just a slice of their pizza I've been having either.

I don't mind a greasy corned beef pasty from time to time but never liked their sausage rolls, just a personal taste thing. They make some good sandwiches and are now opening more and more coffee shops. Its good to see a UK firm grow bigger than McDonalds et al.

When I go to town I always pop into Greggs. The food there is just beyond delicious ‘meat products aside’. The sandwiches are to die for and the chocolate chip cookies beat a humble chocolate bar hands down.

You always pop in there?

I think I been into our Greggs twice, since they opened, they opened a few years back now.

The only place I always go into when I go into a town is a small snack shop that sells bread rolls which I use for work as they last longer than supermarket ones. i will also get a crusty loaf, now and again i will buy a custard slice, they are fantastic and they are baked locally, not from some place miles away.

But then i only go into town once a week. if that. once i get a second freezer, i will go in even less.

Nice that as Neo said a British company is on the up, but from what I have had from them I have not been that impressed, too greasy for me.

It actually did happen... At the time I didn't know that that I couldn't stomach pastry of any sort until I went to the doctors and asked them about it as I also cannot eat wheat as well. When I got the test results back...

Only things I buy there are two steak bakes. You need two really. I bring them home as I like ketchup with them.

Gluten intolerant, not good, my friends daughter is the same, gets expensive as well because the food she can eat is expensive.

She found out a few years ago at school, she eat a pie for lunch and in the afternoon she was really ill. She had to go to the hospital from School. Took a while to find out what was wrong mind you. Yet before that day she would eat bread and other stuff with wheat without any problems.

Some of the gluten free stuff is not very nice, bread is horrid, my friend bakes her own now as it is cheaper because a bag of rice flour is a fair bit cheaper to by than a loaf of bread.
