Okay, David needs to decide if he is a judge or a contestant in this show. I've had enough of him getting out of his seat to fool around with Simon or the act on stage, the lap dance stunt was crinegworthy in the extreme and not appropriate for the time slot in my opinion. I know he is intended to provide the humourous aspect in the judging but he's OTT in the clowning around thing now. Someone tie him into his seat please

And the female judges..."okay, I have my wisftful, emoting face on now, time for my closeup while the little girl/boy sings a cute song".....

Agree with all the above. I feel nauseous watching David around Simon and do not find it funny any more. Get rid of him.

It was getting boring in their first series. its full on tedius now.

It kind of undermines Simon's authority in a way and it is definitely being over done now - I don't want to see a soft, silly Simon that 'mucks in' I prefer the Simon that delivers the hard punches. Nice to see him be a good sport, but oh dear David, tone it right down.

It all seems good fun to me.

yeah I agree, I wish he'd tone it down a bit and just judge and yeah the odd comedy here and there but he seems to thing its all about him and Simon.

David's clowning and comments are more juvenile than funny or appealing in any way.

What is he trying to prove?

That he is a funny guy? Never seen anything remotely funny about him.

That he is a clever guy? Never seen any such signs.

He seems to like voting against anything that Simon likes but has nothing of quality to offer. If he was a contestant they would have booted him out already.

Someone should remind him that this is not the David Walliams show - never was, never will be.

Here, here, well said. When DW is behaving he is bearable, the whole exercising on a chair was just awful and the lap dance moment was cheap and as you say cringeworthy.

I like him but Michael McIntyre was far funnier. David is more playing a character than being a comedian. Michael was genuinely funny.

I remember one audition where the audience sang along to a bad act who was singing a Beatles song and Michael said "Liverpudlians will sing along to literally anyone who sings the Beatles. Watch. Naa na na..." and the whole audience went "na na na na, Hey Jude" and he just turned back and said "That is the point I'm trying to make". I remember that so well but have never been able to find it on YouTube sadly.

BiB

David would struggle to get to the semis if he was a contestant on the show

David is a natural performer and people pleaser, so it's hard for him to take a back seat and pass judgement on others. I don't mind him and still think Britain's Got Talent has the most perfect panel line up (and hosts) of any of these types in the world. Honestly.

Is BGT turning into the Simon and David show ??

If so how tedious and dull...........

This is only the second season I've watched.
I do like that Walliams gets involved and tries to get a reaction out of Simon, but the "my Simon" act is getting a bit tired already for me.

As this is only the second season for me, I have to wonder if they have a stripperish act every year. I don't think a middle-aged woman cavorting on a chair is talent really.

I find David funnier when he reigns it in. As soon as he goes over-the-top in his bid for attention, I lose interest.

I agree I don't have a problem with it. I think the interactions between David and Simon are part of the reason the show seemed to get a new burst of life last year.

I dont have a problem with it I think the chair thing was taking it a bit too far ... Simon looked so uncomfortable, Im sure I read while recording BGT David and Simon had a fall out, possibly Simon had enough of the antics

Really? Because I heard that yesterday was the most watched launch. It got the highest peak for a BGT launch show.

I agree with you both. I don't have much of a problem with it either.

Yes, I remember that!

I agree with you that Michael McIntyre was much better. He's a more likable person anyway, and also knows how to be funny without going over the top.

The problem with David, is that he doesn't know when to stop.
