I liked this kid and I'm sure many other here did also - so here's an appreciation thread. The usual rules apply.

Absolutely superb tonight. Some great material there. I'll be shocked if he doesn't make the final.

He deserves his final place.

I haven't watched any of the earlier shows so this is the first time I've seen him. I thought he was great and very funny.

Sorry but there is only so many times you can joke about your disability. It's an easy and unoriginal laugh.

Most comedians rely on their own personal life experiences to write their material, and he's no different in that regard.

Well done for making the final Jack!

I hope we get another new routine from him.

I liked the Kim Jong-un joke even though I could guess the punchline before he even said it
I thought he was funny

Usually I can't stand kid comedians, but I do find Jack funny, and I like his disability jokes. Not a sympathy vote at all for me, I genuinely like him.

People on the forum say that the judges only gave him a standing ovation because he is a kid, which I think is a load of rubbish. I'm certain that the judges found him genuinely funny. He has over a week to prepare for the final so I hope he has some great material. He could even win the show which would be great as a comedian has not won before.

I agree, it's because he's disabled.

Not all his jokes were about himself this time and he was still funny
The Simon/King Jong-un joke, yes it was signposted but I laughed

To befair bhewas 'amsing', but veryover-rated.

His disability is of no interest to me as I only judge on entertainment value.

The real test of any comedian is perhaps to listen to them, rather than watch them. If he was on sound only without the aid, subliminal or otherwise, of his condition then he would not have been particularly amusing.

That said however, if he really did get tweeted by Frankie Boyle, then perhaps Boyle could learn a lot about wholesome entertainment from a young pleasant and well-intentioned performer.

I hope Jack wins.
Fed up with singers and dancers winning.

Sadly, if he does, there will always be the suspicion that he did so on a 'sympathy' vote - because, pleasant and cheeky though he is, he is not really very funny. You would hear comparable, and often better, humour from many lads of his age in schools around the country on any day of the week.

He is still the best comedian to have been on BGT and there haven't been many. The fact that many of us did find him funny shows its not much down to the sympathy vote.

Comedian? You must be joking.

There is no way of knowing how many of those who voted for him were impressed by his 'talent' or who were expressing a sympathy vote.

Or indeed, if you were minded to be cynical, just how many actually voted for him at all, given that the show always manipulates the sympathy vote every year.

Put him on as the first act and the audience will have forgotten him by the second ads break.

This is an appreciation thread so if you don't have anything positive or constructive to say, don't bother.
