Demand 5 now available on PS3. It's in the My Channels folder in the TV/Video Services section of the XMB. It's an app (36MB in size)

Lets hope it is better than the one ITV gave us because that is rubbish, saying that 4OD is not much better.
Alright for some, I wish we could get 4OD and Demand5 on the Wii 
I wish they was available for the wii as well, they may do a better job, because the BBC iplayer is far better on the Wii. But according to ITv, they can't do the Wii because it is not possible to put adverts in.
I am glad some agree with me about the the players being awful on the PS3. i don't use them that much, I tried to watch Catchprase just to see what it was like, but i could not get any joy on the PS3, so I used this computer instead.
that is the only time I have used or tried to use the ITV player for months.

It is a lot better than the ITV Player and 4oD on PS3 as its an actual application and not just a redesigned website
yes a hell of a lot better decided to test it last night and was impressed, the quality of picture was nice to. So if 5 can do this why the hell can ITV and 4OD not.

Buh? The PS3 iPlayer is loads better than the Wii one. Better inferface, more reliable, more programmes, better video encodes, some HD, subtitles etc etc etc.
Would love to see 4OD adopt to this, they have a lot of content and its let down by not having a proper working application. When i enquired to C4 enquiries about this they said it was Ps3 not having enough memory or something to that effect, yet 5 have just used an application based on html5 the same as bbc and it works lovely.
I just had a look at demand 5, I watched a Gadget show on it and I must admit, it is pretty good. Picture quality is far better than ITV and Ch 4 on demand services. The one problem with ch5 is that there is very little worth watching on it. The Gadget show, which was about the only thing I used to watch is awful now, with Suzi gone. What the hell was Channel 5 thinking of?
channel 5 went even further downhill when Desmond took it over and they decided to spend money and that waste of space show Big Brother.
As for the BBc iplayer it is still naff on the Ps3, i did manage to watch Dr who without it going belly up this evening.
I doubt I will use demand 5 again, but it just goes to show that if one can do it, why one earth can't ITV and Channel 4?

Must admit never had a problem with iplayer on Ps3 think a lot has to with your connection. Im amazed by the cotent of 5OD on ps3 compared to sky ondemand. Loads more so begs the question why is it like that. Yes hopefully 4OD will produce a propper App because they have some good stuff or maybe there just waiting for the Ps4 to arrive. I suppose like i said if there excuse was that the Ps3 didnt have enough Ram then there wont be a problem with the Ps4 being 8gb of ram will there.

Unreliable and clunky, even more so since the last update. I know my Ps3 is getting on, but it works fine for other stuff.
My connection is fine as I use it for Netflix most days as apart from DVD/Blu-Ray, it is my only form of TV type entertainment. Also 5 On demand works fine as well.

I get a constant 10-12 Megabits, which is ample as I never have anything else running on the network at the same time.
even the BBc speed test say that my connection is fine, but then that could be as unreliable as the BBC Iplayer.
