Nooooo!!! I did not know Janey Cutler passed away!

Anyone remember her? Little old Scottish lady with the massive voice and even bigger personality. She sang No Regrets and then recieved the first standing ovation of the series when she sang My Life. Some newspapers even dubbed her the new Susan Boyle.

I'm so guttered. She was one of my all time favourite contestants, I had no idea she had passed away until I seen the comments on her videos on YouTube. Genuinely devastated.

What an inspiring lady she was. One of BGT's finest.

Rest in peace Janey Cutler.

Wasn't she like 90 - hardly surprising really?

She died the year following her performance. She was certainly good.

Her age doesn't mean everybody should have expected her to be dead by now, nor does it make it less sad.

Nobody said it was recent news. I find it bizarre that you'd enter this thread just to say that.

The OP made the thread to express their shock and sadness at her passing, not because it was recent news.

I hate when people comment on my threads with pointless comments. So when a member of your family dies or a friend - would you not speak about them a year on because it's 'old news'? Very distasteful comment.

I had no idea of her passing. What an incredible lady.

I remember posting it on the day she died. Sad for her family. If i recall correctly, wasnt she pretty awful in the final? Not trying to disrespect her, but i know there was loads of hype about her after her audition and then she just disappointed. Mind you, its probably a good thing she didnt win.

She could sing but she fell behind on the music. She quit singing later that year, but it's a good thing she made use of such experience before she died.
