Hi,

Just recently purchased the Humax 1000s with freetime. However, I have noticed a major problem with the YouTube app.

After the box has been switched off, or left idle for a while, the app no longer works unless a full factory reset is done.

I do not want to have to keep resetting the box. Has anyone else noticed this issue, and if so, are there any solutions, or is it a bug that we will need a software update for.

Thanks in advance.

Please explain "switched off" - do you not normally leave your unit in standby which is expected?

Yes, sorry. The box is left in standby...Not switched off by power.

Does the IPlayer still work when you have this problem?
How is the unit connected to your router - if you are using homeplugs do they have a power saving feature?.

Next time it happens - try entering looking at: system info - network.

Hi, both BBC iPlayer and ITV Player work fine. Its just YouTube that isn't woking.

I am using a wifi dongle at the moment, but would that be causing the problem, and would a homeplug setup resolve the issue?

The same thing is happening with our box. All we can see is a black screen with the youtube logo.

Contacted Humax Support and they are replacing the box, as they say this should not be happening.

Will let you know how the replacement goes when I receive it on Monday.
