Ahhhh my memory is not good of that - now we have Les Dennis back in yet another soap, in his usual role in popping up as a bit of a dodgy "comedian"-type of character.

Yeah remember that - plus Peter Kay was actually funny in his scenes alongside Shelley, at the time - both of them were funny characters - unlike Les Dennis who is distinctly unfunny - but luckily Gail saves the day lol.

Jean Alexander is still alive - and getting better - she is 88 now.

My maternal great-grandmother was around that age - again not alive anymore - 85/86 ish when she died.
