I buy a punnet of strawberries , it has about 12 strawberries in it, but I don't want to eat them all that day , but by the third day they've already got mold on them or something like mold .

I've tried keeping them in the fridge , but this doesn't always extend their life much . I've tried seperating them , that helps sometimes .

anyway - is there a trick to this ?

Keep them in a paper bag in the fridge but even then they don't last that long. Strawberries and pastic do not mix.

Dont buy them from Tesco, theyll go mouldy within an hour of you unpacking your shopping.

Any real answer is to eat them quicker and not leave them about as they don't store very well.

I suppose you could make a jelly and put them in that.

I've never had this problem, but that's because I'm greedy - if I get a punnet of strawberries, I'm lucky if they see the day out.

I have bought a few punnets reduced for quick sale, and frozen them in an ice cube tray but frozen they're not really good for eating - I use them for jam.

Sorry, I'm not much help, am I?

Keep a fresh sheet of kitchen roll in there to draw the moisture - kind of scrunch it up so it's between the strawberries

You could always try growing your own, You don't need much space, I've had success growing them in a hanging basket before now. They taste better, too
