UK TV Apps on Samsung D or E series Blu-Ray Players?

Hi there,

I'm trying to compile a list regarding which of Samsung's smart Blu-Ray players in the D and E series have which of the UK FTA apps.

It appears some models have some apps, but others have many missing. The BBC seems to be on most, but what about ITV, 4oD and Demand 5 (not to mention Netflix or LoveFilm)

I ask the following: in order to help out any future buyers of the Samsung's Blu-Ray players to know which models will offer ALL the UK services.

So, if you have a Samsung D or E series Blu-Ray Player, can you list it here with which of the following apps are installed?:
BBC iPlayer
BBC Sport
ITV Player
4oD
Demand 5
Netflix
LoveFilm

Thanks!

Thanks paulsalter, I've started the list over at my blog. Your E6100 is the first. Let's see if I can get more.

Just want to bring this up again, as I am wondering, are there any Samsung Blu-Ray models that have ALL the FTA UK options?
iPlayer
ITV Player
4oD
Demand 5

Hi, I was just wondering if you found this info out. I'm looking at getting a new Samsung Blu ray player which has Iplayer and youtube in built and as I can see you can download apps for ITV and 5 on demand but there's no mention on 4od.

Unfortunately, I didn't really get a lot of people writing in.

But, one person did tell me that the BD F-6500 (F-series) Blu-Ray player had all of the UK FTA services (which I assume means 4oD) plus many other important ones like Netflix, BBC Sport etc.

He also mentioned some lower number models don't, but there were no specifics when the FTA services start to fall off.

The F6500 sounds like a good start, but if I were you, I'd buy from a place which has a good return policy and keep the boxes looking good until you have installed all the apps and are happy with it.

Hope that helps.
