Samsung F7000 & F8000 differences?

Hi

I am looking at buying a new TV in the next couple of months - I was looking at Samsung ES8000 from John Lewis (had a 5year Guarantee) but they have gone now and the newer generation are in place, F7000 and F8000.

Now I have had a look around the internet and can't really find much in the way of reviews for the F7000. And so I just wanted to know what the differences are in the two models and would it be worth the extra money for the higher model.

I have found that the CMR and the Audio Output are different between the two, but as I don't know what this even means do you think I would notice too much?

Thank you for any advice you can give.

Hi

looking at the Samsung website doing a compare between the F8000 and F7000 55" models the only difference I could see where:

F8000: 1000 - Clear Motion Rate
F7000: 800 - Clear Motion Rate

F8000: Micro Dimming Ultimate
F7000: Micro Dimming

F8000: Ultra Slim Wall Mount supported = NO
F7000: Ultra Slim Wall Mount supported = YES

That last one is interesting (especially to me as I have an older Samsung TV using the ultra slim mount which I can reuse if I go for the F7000)

Above all else, I looked at both in the flesh and I have to say I prefer the looks of the F7000! I am probably going to go for a 60" version of the F7000

I was also looking at both the F7000 and F8000 recently, and the above post sounds about right, along with the different design of course, and "Cinema Black".

There is a great comparison here, with both video reviews also.
