Doesnt bother me none...Its not a competition of who likes what more than someone else...and guaranteed there are several "acclaimed" episodes i definitely dont like as much as others

However this one looks set to continue trend on Hide which has raised the bar Those creatures in this one look horrificly creepy!....A definite trend on series 7B

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Old High Gallifreyan look a bit like Greek whereas standard Gallifreyan looks like those hexagons and circles? And isn't it standard Gallifreyan on the Doctor's?”

ooooh you're right I knew that too...

It does make it very difficult to get to the pages where people are discussing the episode once it's aired, though. I have to remember which page I was on after reading preview chat, and if that runs to several pages I can't even get there in one click. Having a pre and post made sense. Personally I'd also add a 'mid' or 'live' thread too, for people commenting while the programme's on. That way everyone can get to read what they want as easily as possible.

Maybe I should start the threads now for the 50th!

The Board remembers for you.

Ok Clara finds an interesting book in the library, could it somehow be River's spoiler book? As I pointed out before River might have always known that Clara was going to be a future companion so might have set this up so Clara found out the truth to prompt other events which need to happen? Ok sounds stupid but it sounds ok in my head lol.

Spoiler
Since one of the DWTV teasers speaks about reading about a war, it's much more likely that she find a book about the time war.

Also why would the Doctor have River's spoiler book? AFAIK he only has his own diary.

Just speculation so no real reason to spoiler tag, but - just in case - could the 'monsters' in this episode be
Spoiler
Time Lords? At the end of their regeneration limit?

It would be testament to the vastness and the temperamental nature of the TARDIS that some life forms (perhaps previous owners) were to get perpetually 'lost' there and, over a long time, become degraded madmen.

It would fit in with some of the teasers banded around (though just about).

Why would he have his crib in the TARDIS? He was an adult when he stole the TARDIS, I can't see him taking the time to get his old crib down and load it up before he made his escape. Not unless he's incredibly sentimental

But he does have his crib in the Tardis....we've seen it.

Perhaps he saved it from his crumbling home world. Like saving a photograph or memento.

The History of the Time War

Oh and linked to something people were discussing earlier...
Spoiler
It IS Clara who finds out his name. Not sure if she actually knows it or just somehow knows those bunch of symbols are his name

A Good Man Goes To War

He let Amy put baby River in it. And yes, his and River's relationship does sound more wrong when you realise they shared a first crib

i really find myself puzzled by the sfx review, not so much because they seem less keen on it, but on their ascertain that fans won't like it, when other reviews seem to suggest it's something fans really will like....

Well they alluded to the idea that the type to go on DW forums won't like it so maybe Clara ends up kissing him again?

Seriously I think it'll just be that the resolution ends up feeling a bit cheap or convenient.

the thing is, if post 2005 DW has one achilles heel, it's always been around plot resolution (at least for me), so I am assuming it must be something out of the ordinary....

A lot of the episodes are a bit sentimental, with a 'love conquers all' resolution. The problem, for me, is that the Doctor and Clara are too much alike. They really need a character with a bit of an edge to add some conflict.

If there is a clash between the Doctor and Clara in this episode, then we may get to see another side of her character and the relationship between them may change. Which can only be a good thing.

As we've already had a shout out to the eye of harmony in Hide I suppose that's number 9 (and from the cultbox review "there are some truly spectacular eye-opening (ahem) sights on offer").
