Try Rayman Origins for the PS3 or XB360 cool little platformer and not a drop of blood in sight

What format? That would kinda help.

I nominate Viva Pinata - Trouble in Paradise and Banjo Kazooie (any of them).

Vice City. Leisurely drive around a city set in the 80's. Listen to the 80's songs on the radio and take in the sights.

*Looks at 360 game shelf, realises virtually all of them are rated 18*
I may not be the right person to ask.

"The Neverhood"... I was going to say, as it came to mind... being claymation... but upon review (I never recall anything until I revisit...) it could be said to be "violent".

So, though you suggested/asked for my very favorite kind of game, adventure, I cannot really think of any that aren't in some way "violent"... or at least linked to violence... still I'll throw another at you (a whole fantastic and wonderful series!): The Carol Reed Mysteries. These games are uniformly excellent, lush, relaxing, intriguing, beautiful, unique. Cult-classics deserving all the support I can direct their way.

Another great series that comes to mind is "The Incredible Machine" games that come to mind... but even these have dynamite and guns and fiery immolation!

Violence is inherent in the system, I guess!

If your interested in Adventure games, you could try Broken Sword 1, it's available on ios and Steam. It's a point and click adventure, a very good one too. I see someone has also recommended Journey, so i'll second that.
