If you get good three signal and don't mind paying £20pm then this is a much better phone

http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/buy...T-3N007-FCONH?

£50 cashback as well- http://www.topcashback.co.uk/carphone_warehouse/

But other than that the Desire X at £17.50 sounds alright. Did you not try and negotiate with your current network?

Which network are you looking for?

You can get the Desire X with 500 minutes/unlimited texts/unlimited data on T-Mobile for £14.08 a month if you don't mind cashback deals (see page 2). Plus lots of other combinations.

http://www.comparemobiledeals.com/mo...-Mobile&page=1

The RAZRi is a bit more but have a look on that site for some deals.

I am probably going to get the Desire X deal above. I will give the phone to my son and keep the sim as it is not a bad price to pay for those amounts of mins/texts & data.

Hi jabbamk,

I agree it is a much better phone but what do you think about the battery life after the 4.1jellybean upgrade?

I have read some reviews that jellybean update drains the battery and crashes the phone. Some customers even asked to go back to Android 4.0 but Sony told them it was not possible to do so!

If the cashback doesn't go through or you don't apply in time then you'll be paying £26pm for a Desire X. (you can get the Galaxy S4 for that price). That's why i wouldn't take the risk myself.

Youngturks- I've heard a few things about battery life. but it's not that bad after a factory reset apparently. But for £20pm with 500 mins and unl data it's the best phone out there.

Never had a problem with the cashback deals I have done. These days you get 60 days to email the bill so it is pretty easy. I can understand the reluctance some have but it is down to how much work you are prepared to do.

I wish I could get a signal on 3 at work as that is a good deal. But I am stuck with EE/T-Mobile/Orange.

i been with tesco sim only for 4 months and they said after 3 months i can upgrade and not go through a proper credit check.

i never have any luck with carphone warehouse credit checks.

so need a phone on tesco mobile but they dont have much to choose from.

i did want the htc one x but they stopped sellling that.

im hoping they get the htc one in stock soon but they will be expensive.

This is the deal I'm trying to get, according to the cashback site, it still works, but according to the link, that phone doesnt come up on the offer on carphone warehouse
