I saw the last episode when it came out so have caught up with the show.

I do care if he is innocent or not but that doesn't spoil what a great show it is. Very good characterisation and cinematography.
I said to a friend the other day, if he turns out not to be innocent - in most shows I'd scream and shout at the injustice of it all, but I think on this one I'd actually understand that there are shades and nuances to all that happened (if it ever gets explained) and also, because he was in jail for what would now be considered a length of time that some murderers do spend in jail (I read that 13-16 years was average these days in the USA), and because we've come to know him, it wouldn't feel quite such a disappointment even if it turned out he was guilty (which I don't feel he is... but who knows )

They have cleverly given him an air of mystery, a hint of that 'you don't know quite how he's going to react' vibe, an edge, an other-wordly quality, it's cleverly kept the whole thing uncertain for 3 series without making it too frustrating.

I enjoyed season 1 but it's a real slowburner, even by slowburner standards. I am encouraged though by the amnount of TV that is willing to take its time, focus on character development rather than rush from one artificial cliffhanger to the next
Couldn't have said it better myself.

I won't get to see this until January on AMC UK but if the first 3 seasons are anything to go by, it will be touching, thought provoking but mostly brilliant.

Well I watched the first episode today online. I won't spoil it for you except to say that it remains deep, deeply divine, beautifully acted and the episode was just sublime in my opinion. The acting by Aden Young is so top-notch.

I eagerly await the next episode. Knowing that it's the last series I'm hoping for resolution - whether it be to him deciding to accept himself or whether it be a conclusion to whether he did or didn't commit the crime, some kind of resolution for not just him but his family and the viewer is needed. I think they will satisfy us with something interesting, no matter what the outcome.

OMG! That scene of him talking about loneliness, had me shedding buckets of tears, guess it hit a chord with my own personal life. Probably one of the best bit of dialogues, that I've heard.

Another powerful episode. Looks like we might have an answer to who the murderer is before the series ends. Also, I hope Teddy finally lets go and moves on with his life and that storyline doesn't end in tragedy.

It was a delicious episode. Seeing Daniel lose his temper was fantastic, that he lost control of his usually very tightly-held emotions was so important.

I am so pleased that Teddy finally decided to give up the ghost with Tawnee. I've found her more and more self-absorbed and a bit blah, although she's a lovely person who cares very deeply trying to sort her own emotions out.

Ted's really changed since the coffee incident, for the better - I hope he doesn't go back to his nasty self.

I love the little scenes they occasionally have with Teddy, Amantha and Jared, they seem so normal when they are together as a little group of siblings (and half siblings).

I am liking Daniel's friendship with Chloe which I was hoping may go further but perhaps not. She's a very good actress and I love her character. She and Daniel together are great, she's really good for him, she takes him out of his own head.

Great.

Latest episode was terrific again. Daniel's becoming more of his own man, saying what's on his mind rather than keeping it to himself. All of his relatives are slowly letting out there feelings after, how I see it, years of having them boiling beneath the surface with probably the Daniel case being in the forefront for years. This is the fallout.

Just finished the latest episode, outstanding episode. I'm not sure how they've kept the standards so high. I think I can see where we'll end up, but it's highly unlikely I'll be right.

One more episode to go.

A bit like Southland - I love it but will never meet anyone who has heard of it.

A critic online said it was the best drama series that nobody's ever seen

I've seen the last episode now, a fitting ending - cautiously optimistic as Daniel said.

For me it's been the perfect series and made even better by having a beginning, middle and end rather than going on year after year. The writing and acting was wonderful throughout and they never lost their idea of what it was supposed to be and how it should be played, just to make the audience happy. Very well done.

I shall miss it, but it was right to end it and end it when they did.

I've really enjoyed this series. Watching the journeys of Daniel, Janet, Teddy and the sheriff, in particular. I was glad it ended on an upbeat note.

My one complaint about the final series is that we did not get a single scene with Daniel and Amantha. We had the phone call in the last episode but no face to face time at all.

But that's a small complaint with something that was almost perfect from beginning to end.

The whole cast were absolutely phenomenal.
