jackel1234 is our next mentor! He's performed brilliantly in XF games over the past few months, winning many games such as Team Factor and Mix Factor Series 3, however this is his first time competing in NTA! Will he be able to continue his winning streak? Jack is online right now so will post his intros himself...

Although they have a name that makes you think a black diva singer (sorry zak ) they are an amazing rock band that are really mad, quirky and have many influences from Queen and The Darkness. There songs are more often or not very uplifting and just generally a good band and I hope you like them as much as I do.

Imagine Dragons

These guys are just amazing. They have created tons of songs that unfortunately didn't make it onto their debut album (some of their best ones as well ) so I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Justin the fabulous has mentored some of the best acts in NTA history (Who can actually top mentoring themselves, hmmm anyone.) He made it to 3rd last contest with Lana Del Rey, and is hoping to go two places better this year.

Mainstream - Dragonette

Dragonette has been around since 2007 making pop music in both Canada and the United States, but they really hit their stride in 2010 when a certain lead singer "just came to say hello" on the album charts. Peaking at #13, one of their 3 collaborations with Martin Solveig took the dance and electronica world by storm. They weren't always club bangers, however - with their earlier work garnering comparisons to NTA 2's winner (isn) The Killers and last series' finalist Gwen Stefani, Dragonette have a diverse catalogue and a kickass repertoire that will serve them very well in this competition.

Indie - Kate Miller-Heidke

Well, mentoring myself didn't go so well last time, and fun. didn't do much better the time before that, so I decided to go back to what I do best: quirky girls! This time, I've got an Australian singer who has had one single sitting pretty at #3 on the ARIA charts. Outside of her home country, however, she's relatively unknown. With a classically trained range, her alternative pop songs are ethereal and angelic while still sometimes managing to be tongue-in-cheek singer songwriter romps. She's an amazing singer, and I hope you all agree!

Lukey boy started NTA a bit slowly, but has came into his own these last two contest, resulting in a runner up spot in the Indie contest last time with Friendly Fires. Now that Im not there to beat him, can he take the winning spot:

Well it is that time again and despite still being a banned member I think it'd be unjust to not have one of the 'originals' be involved if they wanted to be so here I am ready to participate again and I have two amazing acts lined up who I hope you will all love and enjoy throughout the course of the sixth series of Next Top Artist, I will reveal now that both my acts are once again male orientated and that was just the way it's been working out so far, however I do intend to use a female act at some stage, it just won't be this edition. But anyway, let's get down to the nitty gritty and reveal my acts and they are as follows...

Mainstream - I feel that NTA6 could not go ahead without arguably the biggest band of 2012 being in the line-up, so that right there is one of the reasons I chose this act, forming way back in 2007, this band has quickly erupted as the 'saviours of the folk scene' to many people, releasing their Brit Award winning album 'Sigh No More' back in 2009' critics hyped them as the next big thing and it showed as Mumford & Sons went on to be a 4xplatinum selling album in the UK alone selling 760,000 copies as well as picking up a Brit Award in 2010, however they didn't peak their and came back in 2012 to release a very successful follow-up in the name of 'Babel' which at the time of release became the biggest selling album in the United States, as well as the United Kingdom, they are Grammy & Brit Award winners and they are here now to try and be the Next Top Mainstream Artist of 2013, they are.... MUMFORD & SONS (note... I will try to be as upbeat as I can with them, I know, they can be bland as **** at times, but I just couldn't not use them.)

http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/...--Sons-010.jpg

Indie - Indie - My Indie act is the best friend of a former winner (Alex Turner won right, yeah he did okay I can go ahead with this biography, it's quite alright) and wants to emulate his success in the process. I was unsure whether to actually go with this act, due to the fact his album won't be out until way after the new NTA is into full motion, so contemplated choosing another quirky guitar boy in Ben Howard, but nah, I'm sticking by him as he's got plenty of work with Alex (NTA winner, wants to follow in his footsteps yeah) as the Last Shadow Puppets, he's gorgeous and flawless (sort of rhymes) and he's ready to rearrange this competition for the better, he is MILES KANE.

Here are my wonderful acts!!

Mainstream: Tulisa - I chose Tulisa, because I love Tulisa basically. I love her music, and her background which makes the music sound even better, and I believe I can do her justice in this competition!!

Indie: Ariana Grande - I chose Ariana, because she isn`t well known in this country, but I love her voice and her music. She is very likeable, and I think she will do good!!

Poth has played several times before, and this time is hoping to go far with his acts.

My mainstream act was popular in the 80's, she is a true music icon and has produced some great hits such as Time After Time, True Colors, Iko Iko and who could forget the iconic song "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" she's recently had appearances on The Celebrity Apprentice and her own reality show on E!

For me she's such a versatile artist, she has pop songs, blues songs, jazz songs, rock songs and some amazing tunes.

My mainstream is CYNDI LAUPER
He hasnt sent an intro for his Indie, so here it is:

Indie - Jason Aldean

We've got yet another newcomer up next! It's puppylove7 hoping she can have a great start to her NTA mentoring with these acts...

Indie:

Rhydian was the runner up on X factor in 2007, losing out to Leon Jackson. I chose Rhydian because he is ana amazing classical singer and I think he will bring something different to the competition.

http://s4c.co.uk/rhydian/lawrlwytho/...4_1280x800.jpg

Mainstream:

The Script are an extremely talented Irish band and the lead singer Danny O'Donoghue is one of the coaches on The Voice UK. I chose them because they're really talented and will be able to sing a variety of songs in the competition.

Rory hasnt played NTA in a little while, but is back to return with a bang, and these are his acts:

Sugababes are potentially no more well-known for switching out band mates than their music, but this group had a string of amazing hits and albums which I decided would be great to showcase for NTA. I’ll mostly focus on their Mutya-Keisha-Heidi line up although they have great songs from most of their line ups to use! These girls have great, catchy songs and I hope that I get to showcase a good amount for them throughout the competition! I hope people enjoy their picks, and as an extra incentive if you vote them high you may be in with a chance for their next line-up

Brand New are a band I’ve enjoyed for many years and at one point obsessed over some of their songs back when I was 16. They’re probably best described as alternative rock/emo but they have some amazing tunes which I hope people will love. They’ve been around for years and I can’t wait to hopefully be able to show their latest stuff and a lot of their old classics. I hope you grow to love them as much as I do!

Our next mentor is SacredDiablo! He's always done well in games around the XF forums, however is yet to excel in NTA, will this be his series to conquer?

My mainstream act received nationwide exposure in late 2008 when they opened several North American tour dates for the band The Killers. The band released its debut album, Habits, in 2010. Their lead single and was shortly thereafter featured as the Free Single of the Week on iTunes. They have release their second studio album is 2012 and are currently touring with Maroon 5 and Owl City. They are...

The indie act that ive chosen is a vocalist, songwriter, and musician. She was an original member of acclaimed garage rock acts Crystal Stilts, Dum Dum Girls, and the Vivian Girls. She released her first single in 2009 and followed up in 2010 with a full-length album. Her second full-length album was released in February 2012, and earned a "Best New Music" designation from Pitchfork. My chosen act is...

The two acts I have chosen to mentor throughout the course of NTA (the full course!) this time around are two incredibly-talented female vocalists.

Jennifer Hudson, a woman who accurately acknowledged the fact she had one of the best voices in the world during her series of American Idol, yet somehow managed to fall a shocking - and rather controversial - 7th place; but who cares, right? I think winning an Academy Award makes up for that one - as well as the many, many other awards she has won during her career. I mean, glancing at all the awards she has won for her role as Effie White in Dreamgirls alone shows just what a talent she truly is.

Spoiler

However, the only instrument Jennifer Hudson requires is her incredible vocals in order to sell millions upon millions of albums and singles worldwide, songs in which I thoroughly enjoy sharing with you throughout the course of NTA.

Clare Maguire, a woman whose singing career has not been quite the success of what she and I would have hoped for so far, however she has a voice which is more than deserving of all the success I'm sure she will receive in the future. Her deep, powerful vocals are rather one of a kind and have evidently been heavily influenced by her idols including Johnny Cash, Prince, Fleetwood Mac and Sister Rosetta Tharpe.

Two outstanding vocalists who I hope are going to give the rest of the acts in NTA more than a run for their money.

I chose Duffy as my mainstream act because she's a flawless quirky girl.

I chose The Band Perry as my indie act because they're one of the best country bands to exist and need more appreciation.

Ready to slay y'all tbh.
