Help with Indian menu dish please.
Hi all. I'm pretty good on deciphering Indian take-away menus, but this one's new for me so need to pick your brains. What's in a Vegetable Niramish? How hot (i.e. hotter than...but less than ...) and is it creamy or thick, and has it got coconut in it?
TIA |

My forage on google has suggested it doesn't contain coconut and is medium hot. From the pictures, it doesn't look creamy or particularly thick (I think one site described it as having a "light gravy").
I suppose the hotness will depend on your local takeaway as will the vegetables used - there seems to be loads of different recipes out there, some of which include guava (I found a particularly freen and unappetizing picture!). Not sure this helps much

My response of last resort, as I think it goes against the grain of forums, is "Google it".
But sometimes it's the best thing to do as jojo and I had to do to find an answer. If its a restaurant meal check the website menu for a description. If its a local takeaway ring and ask. |

my mate says its pretty much supposed to be a tandoori style korma made with vegetables and as someone said previous its got a bit of coconut milk in, he says its not supposed to be very spicy just flavoursome
