not being banned doesn't mean it wasn't "bad"... not actually that bad doesn't mean it wasn't "bad" either... according to this...

I'd like to know how you'd propose Justin Bieber splits up? In two or three? What'd you reckon?

I'm sorry to have to tell you that, to my knowledge, the Jonas brothers are back together and have new music out in the US, and in the UK at some point in the future...

2 to Go are spltting up

(See X Factor Series 1 )

I wondered, nearer the time will JLS release a final book

They've had two, Our Story So Far and Our Private Diary - they could make it a trilogy, Full Circle or End Of An Era or even We'll Be Back (well never say never)

A nice story to try to counter the negativity that descended over this thread last night (thanks in part to me. Sorry about that, everyone.)

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/ne...ouncement.html

'Demand for the arena shows has increased by just under 300% since last night (April 23), according to Seatwave.'

It will be really nice for JLS to cap off a successful 5 year career together as a band with a successful arena tour. Not a fan of their music for the most part, but I bet it will be a great show.

Definitely! They are absolutely fantastic live, fantastic. That's one of the things my boys can do, put on a great show As far as I know though, even before they announced the split most of the dates had already sold out. People will be lucky to get tickets now.

I can imagine they put on a good show - they were fantastic performers on the XF (my favourite from that year) and that was so long ago now! Did you manage to get a ticket?

as i said earlier, it's all done to increase interest for the final act, or penultimate act (the final act is the inevitable reunion). Honestly it's so depressing how you can map the arc a boybands career on a chart. Nothing is real anymore not even love

remember that philosopher bloke Baudrillard who claimed the gulf war never really happened, I think i know what he was getting at - by the same token of his argument JLS's career never really happened

Blimey, someone quoting Jean Baudrillard on DS. Never thought I'd see the day!

I don't think there's anything wrong with this particular 'story arc', anyway. Nobody expects obscure career experimentation from a boyband. They want to see four or five reasonably to fairly attractive young men singing pleasant pop songs, colour coding their outfits and following a tried and tested career progression of the founder boybands before them (NKOTB, we will not forget.) A reunion is now just part of that progression. Scripted, structured reality is fine. It's reassuring and comforting, like chicken soup.

In short: boybands are the chicken soup of the music industry. Or something.

Oh no! And they've been together for a whole 5 years!!!!!

Have they signed up yet for the next Big Reunion tour?

With regards to the fact not every label has a 1D or an Adele selling artist, this is true for the smaller labels yes, but if you sign to a smaller label without any promotional help from a bigger label, as an artist, you will not get much money to spend on Promotion/videos/billboards etc, and you are not as likely to have as big success as you would with a major. The Majors such as Sony will have big acts. If you look at the roster of a major record label, they will probably have thousands of artists on their books and only a small percentage of them will be doing well. The others that don't do well will be dropped overtime. This is why record labels are always on the lookout for the next big thing.”

You keep stating as fact that they have split because they weren't offered a new contract. How do you know unless you were personally privy to such discussions?

It's such a shame that they are splitting up.
They had the whole boy band/group package, sing, rather good at dancing, and good looking. They are also humble as well. Comparing them to certain people from other groups.
I think they are one of the best group (even the best boy group) to come out of X Factor.
Good luck to them

I remember loving their version of The Way You Make Me Feel on the show, and I even preferred their version of Hallelujah to Alexandra's.

It's great that you've got tickets, I hope you have an amazing time!

I agree 100%! In fact, everyone I spoke to after that final agreed. My gran hated Alex's performance, she thought JLS' version suited the song much better. I personally prefer Hallelujah to be softly sung, not all shouty and powerful like Alex's version

I loved their version of Hallelujah

I'm unlikely to get to the tour so hope it's released on DVD

The boys will be on Chatty Man again:

I expect them to appear on other things too, maybe This Morning, Loose Women etc

I've just had a thought - if the final album is an album for the fans to remember them by, I wonder if they would (aswell as all the hit singles) also add their best X Factor songs

Like The Way You Make Me Feel, Hallelujah, Umbrella, No Air - maybe their audition song

I think the fans would really like that
