Using filmon on iPad

I have loaded the filmon app on my iPad but can't figure out how to view my recordings. Everything works fine on a PC but on the ipad app I can't see how to start a recording although I can see the files have been recorded. Is this a bug or am I missing something?

Don't worry, you haven't gone mad, it is just a weird FilmOn issue that traps everyone.
It's mentioned in the review below and there is a workaround, you need to use the browser version of FilmOn.

Well thanks for that - using the browser version gives me no issues at all - but why on earth do FilmOn allow their app to remain so flawed??? - especially as the problem is already well flagged in the public domian. You would have thought that should have been fixed by now...... I've sent them a complaint on their support line and perhaps if loads of others do likewise they may actually do something about it!!!! For them, it is a lose lose situaiton for if people are unable to access recordings easily they are never going to subscribe to additional space - missed business !!!!.

I agree, it is very odd. When Zattoo had a fully functioning UK service, they also had an iOS app that appeared not too dissimilar to the FilmOn version. The difference was that their iOS app worked all the time, including with recordings - not to mention the fact everything from every channel was automatically recorded from the last week on their paid version, so even if you forgot to record something, you could still watch it - and without problems.

It is just a pity that they did not decide to push the same legal loophole that FilnOn seem to be using.

Well I actually got a reply from FilmOn re their flawed app - it seems things may be about to improve! - Lets see

Unfortunately, the option to watch in app recordings is currently disabled. You can currently schedule programmes to be recorded using the app but you can only view recordings using pc/mac at http://www.filmon.com/my/recordings.

At this moment, you may also able to record/watch recordings via Filmon.com website in your browser by following this direct link: http://www.filmon.com/index/index

We will bring back this in app feature very soon (the new app is coming out within a week), until then, apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Well I thought everything was getting better then wham, my recordings started to fail. At first it was the odd one now almost nothing is playable despite being displayed as recorded! What's going on? No reply this time from filmon so I won't be purchasing any recording time just yet!

Well Now you can wath your recording son an ipad. Simple logra in and a new recording so pitón come up on the top of the side menú. You can select from there to watch. The recordings option at the foot of the menú sutil wont let you viene. How ever I cant yet see how to delete a recording ... Anyone discovered how to do that?

Have you tried to swipe the recording to the left (or right) like on iOS mail? That deletes for me, at least from the recordings option at the bottom of the screen.

Genius on two counts! - one for beign able to decipher my terrible typing on the previous post - and second for coming up with the solution - would never have thought of that in a 1000 years - Thanks
