Any mobile phones name checkers sites?

Is there any free web sites which do a mobile phone look up like checks for the name or address to who that phone number belongs to.
So say if someone phone me with a mobile phone I don't know who it was any web site could tell me the information who is this person is?. Thanks if possible if there is any...

Reverse looks ups in the UK for any number landline or mobile is illegal unless you are in the police of course!

It used to be the case that GPO/British Telecom owned the copyright on phone numbers and would only allow look-ups based on name/address. UNLESS you paid several thousands pounds to rent their software.

Once de-regulation started BT stopped owing the copyright and various websites / software products were released which for a fee would do reverse look-ups.

I didn't realise that this had been outlawed.

It is illegal for obvious reasons.
