I think this was definitely the case in the earlier series but not sure its a 12 week process anymore

What do the candidates do during the days they are not doing a task?

Swot up on their arrogance, pompousness, buck-passing, bullshitting and stupid sound bite skills.

It has never been a twelve-week process... the tasks are a lot more frequent than one a week, but they have the odd day off, I think. The people who survive until the end are probably there for about five or six weeks, I'd imagine.

It's obvious that they don't have the same timeframe as us, because sometimes you hear them talking about 'yesterday' when referring to the previous task.

It's 7 weeks long and they get 2 days off in the whole process according to Lohit Kalburgi's website.

Thanks for the definite info.

I can't believe they get only two days off throughout the whole process! I didn't expect lots, but I thought they'd get a bit more than that...

I've always thought that the candidates (even the vilest ones) don't get enough credit for dealing with the pressure of the schedule, tiredness, separation from family, friends and usual setting, and not being allowed to say publicly 'no-one in their right mind would do something like this to this sort of timetable, with no prior experience and without access to rational sources of research and support!'. I am often surprised at how (relatively) well they do.
