Will the guy just let it rest! Keeps going on about how he wants this, that and the other for Captain Jack...

First it's a part in the 50th. Then and Jack and River spin off...

How dare he! Thinking about things at least some of the fans might like and attempting to get more Who-related things on TV!

I think River Song and Captain Jack will make the TV explode if they meet! Too. Much. Flirting.

A Jack/River spin-off probably won't happen but it would've been nice to have seen them in the 50th.

Barrowman is entitled to want that. He played one of the coolest characters in the franchise. I certainly won't complain about more Who universe stuff. Making Torchwood British again and having Kingston guest star would be one option.

A Jack/River spin-off would have to be an adult show.

Still, I kind of miss having spin-offs and crossovers between the shows.

can't stand Jack. Hes not important enough to be in the 50th celebrations. Adric did more episodes than Jack I'd rather he returned if he wasn't eaten by a dinosaur.

I might possibly watch Torchwood if it had Jack and River in it.

I have very little interest in Jack, personally. But I suppose he does have his fans.

Barrowman is a showman, plain and simple.
Not for a moment that I think this is true, but what if this is smoke and mirrors?

This is precisely how I feel. Although, I'd add that he is a *little* bit grating on my nerves about the whole thing. I'm sure all these bits and pieces that he's said came from one interview so its probably not entirely his fault, but its kinda coming across like he wasn't asked back to the John Barrowman Show or something. No offense to Captain Jack fans!

Yep, people seem to fail to realise he has done an interview in which he has been *asked* these questions then Digital Spy have done their usual trick of ripping out the most sensational, controversial or mysterious quotes from it, slapping them as headline stories in order to generate more hits as we foolishly click to see what's occurring this time. Now people are assuming he's repeatedly, day after day, harping on about Doctor Who when he's probably not said a word about it since the original interview.

Well put. It's easy what they can come up with, the mere inclusion of the word 'Snub' in a headline can work wonders.

He was getting tweets every hour asking what he was doing in the anniversary even though he'd said he wasn't in it. I think he was a bit fed up so he decided to explain why and that it wasn't his decision.

LOL I find it hilarious and tragic at the same time. He's like a Brent figure now.

I think it's a shame he's not going to be in the 50th, but he's making an idiot of himself now. It would have been so much better if he had kept a dignified silence. (I don't think John Barrowman really does dignified though!)

He was one of the biggest parts of new Who so he deserves to be there.

No.

He's on a press tour for whatever the kids movie he's in at the moment and lazy journalists probably too old to read his twitter feed keep asking him the same old questions.

Next....

Yes, but it's how he responds to these questions that makes the difference.

I thought Captain Jack was pretty cool--nice to have a character aboard the Tardis who doesn't need everything explained. And I do think the spinoff wouldn't be a bad idea, as both Jack and River have been denizens of the Time Agent epoch, which would be cool to explore. But Barrowman is seeming more than a little pathetic.
