Playing VCD on your PC
Hi,
I used to have a video cd player for my pc but my old pc packed up and I cannot remember where I got it from. Can anyone recommend a free player that I can download? Many Thanks Rag |

Any updated version of Media Player will play VCDs, or Quick VCD from here

yep you click open in windows media player, then go to the MPEGAV directory, select 'all types of files' from the list in the open box, and choose AVSEQ01.DAT It should work fine

Thanks for that, but I was trying to play the vcd given away on DVD Monthly and my previous player came up with a menu so I could select which chapter/track, but if all of the video files are in the MPEGAV folder then I will just select them one by one.

I've got a couple of VDC players: I-VCDP.EXE and QuickVCD.EXEIf you can't find them after searching the internet, let me know and I'll try to e-mail them to you. Cheers Dave |

Thanks Dave - QuickVcd was the software I used to have - I've found it, installed it and it works perfectly.
