I did not know if this Dr Who news has already been posted my apologies if it already had

Quote from BBC Entertainment News website:
“Harry Potter actor David Bradley will play "first Doctor" William Hartnell in a BBC drama about Doctor Who's creation to mark its 50th anniversary.”

“An Adventure in Space and Time will tell the story of the genesis of the BBC sci-fi drama in the early 1960s.

Bradley, known to millions for his role as Filch in the Potter series, said he was "absolutely thrilled" to be cast.”

Hey, I'm glad you posted just to bump the subject back into the forefront! I am looking forward to this as much as the 50th special. It looks like a real treat and I really hope it turns out to be a fitting tribute to the pioneers that ensured there is a 50th for us all to get so worked up about in other threads!

I thought Jessica Raine was brilliant as Emma Grayling in "Hide". Hopefully, she'll be just as good as Verity Lambert.

Here's a thought and probably not true, but what if they are also appearing in the 50th as the first Doctor and his companion? They could quite legitimately have filmed scenes under the guise of this documentary production also

Tis tantalizing to think about ,but I hope not. I'm in the 'don' t recast' camp, a full blown role just wouldn't feel right and a cameo may as well be CGI jiggery ...

I'm still suspicious about 'every dalek ever' for Asylum and can't believe there is not some higher purpose for that get together...

You have to be quick off the mark to get in first with the news on this forum.

Sometimes there aren't seperate threads though - some things just get posted in the spoilers threads.
