Who Start Times (!)

Wish BBC1 would stop dicking about with the start times!

So far we've had:

18.15 on 30/03 & 06/04
18.00 on 13/04
18.45 on 20/04

Now tonight's ep is going to be on at 18.30...

All we need now is for them to move the day it's shown and we'll be back into the McCoy era

They have been messing around with the start times for quite a few years now. It's nothing new. Sadly, gone are the days when we could expect DW to air at 7pm each week.

It is a bit of an annoyance, yes.

It just gives that extra frisson to Saturday teatime - what would it be without a "What time's it on tonight, don't want to miss any?" panic?

Yes it's going to be imminently scrapped just because of the start time changing by half an hour.

The only series that had a pretty solid start time was series 1. It's pretty typically for saturday evening tv to have time slots that vary. It is slightly annoying, but it certainly is not a recent phenomena.

It's all down to the timey-wimey thing

Welcome to the world as experienced by Songs of Praise viewers!

Good job we have EPGs nowadays.

Everyone knows that the reason it keeps getting bumped is to make Simon Cowell on ITV bloody happy

I've noticed that the last couple of episodes have actually started a minute or two before the advertised time. It's rather irritating.

I seem to remember in the days of 'Classic Who' it used to be on at 5.15, 5.40, 6.10, 6.15 etc...

Saturday nights on BBC (or ITV) have never been stable!

Doesn't bother me, just happy to watch them.

THIS!! I missed the start of the last two episodes because I tuned in exactly at the time it was supposed to start, not a minute before. So today I had to sit down for a few minutes before the supposed start time so that I didn't miss any. And it started at 6:29, right on cue

I'm quite happy as its always sat there on my freeview recorder when I get in so I could not care less what time it is transmitted.

I thought tonight's would be 6.45 as well, as I'd read that The Voice start time had been permanently changed to avoid a BGT clash.

Didn't even think to check, so I only got home at 6.40, and ended up having to watch it on iPlayer - which stopped working about 6 times! Really annoying
