Thomson DTI6300 Pause, record, ff & rewind not working
It was fine up to a couple of days ago. I've got all the channels & 14 day info etc but when I press the pause button, all I get is an exclamation mark pop up on the screen (!) I've looked in the manuel but can't find anything in troubleshooting, other than this could happen if I were recording something but I am not. Any ideas guys?

My guess is a faulty hard drive.
My one in the kitchen does it every now and then along with a message on screen saying "you have a non usable hard drive " or something like that --- only seen the message once. Power off the mains -- wait 5 minutes and power on again. It could also be a dieing power supply --- bad capacitors. Regards |

I tried unplugging it from the mains & left it for prob about 20mins then plugged it back, rescanned channels back in but still ff, rw, rec & pause not working. Does anyone know any other things I could try?

sphynx.
Sorry to hear you are still having problems. I tried recording on my kitchen one today and failed ----- the reason being the hard drive was full as I had not deleted anything for ages. It was showing as 0% available. Maybe yours is the same?? Regards |

And just to show how utterly unreliable the boxes are-----I set the one in the lounge to record the Moto1 and Moto2 bikes on 301.
Suprise ,suprise the record light was lit when I got home at 5.30pm -- hours after it should have gone off-- and no recordings. A power cycle was needed which resulted in a message saying "sorry to miss your recording but we hope you enjoy your other recordings". The "iffy" box in the kitchen recorded the bikes so all was not lost. Regards |
