Every episode so far has seen Clara having something red. Last week it was a RED umbrella and this week it was a red dress.

So is this contributing to the big finale reveal? Or is a coincidence?

I personally think they're little waves to the audience about Rose's return, along with the Rose theme we've also had.

Maybe the series arc is just one big advert for Special K

Maybe it's just her signature colour? I know that's a boring and simplistic explanation but it wouldn't be the first would it?

I remember when Amy joined they mentioned fairy tale theme and she was red riding hood, that's why she wore somethind red, even if it was a scarf.

I thought the umbrella was yellow, but I'm probably completely wrong. Maybe it's just cos she looks fab in it> the red dress, I mean, not the umbrella...

Also, what's with all the little dresses? Doesn't she ever wear anything else? Hardly the most practical thing if you are going off on adventures, etc.

She looks bloody awesome in red. Is there need for any other explanation???

Well...

Clara herself encountered red (the lights) in tonight's episode, and gave a little monologue about what it meant.

"Means something bad - get out of here fast. Possibly whatever you do, don't open this door".

The doctor is desperate to resolve the mystery of who Clara is. I wonder if just maybe, this may be a subtle allusion that he might not like what he finds, and is essentially encountering danger.

glad you brough it up, I thought the same thing over the weeks and watched yesterdays episode just now and again saw a red dress, she had a red bag in a previous week, it was so obviously there for us to notice the colour...red/rose?

There must be some connection to the colour, i bet the red theme continues...
