Leappad 2 - American or English
Somner

I wondered if anyone knows whether there is a difference at all between the American and English Leappad 2?
Also any opinions of the Leappad 2?
Thankyou

If you haven't already bought one, i'd suggest you don't bother.

They're okay, but you can get as good a selection of educational games for an Android tablet, and then also have something that can be used for a variety of other purposes.

And the leappad is utterly terrible on batteries. It sucks them dry in no time.

Leappad + one game = £100. Each educational game from then on is another £20 (or thereabouts). £100 on an Android tablet will get you something that'll get a lot more use.

This is speaking from experience of my son (now coming up to 5) - he has a leappad and it barely gets used, he just enjoys the operation of the tablets (I have a Playbook, Nexus 7 and Advent Vega, he's been using them since he was 3 1/2), they're easier to use, no clunky cartridges to swap. All the games are on there, they're cheaper, a lot are free (ad-supported, just install adblock plus).
