We're used to Hermesetas but my parents prefer Canderel so always buy one for when they come.

I have switched to Tesco everyday sweeteners. I don't shop there but the local cafe had a tub on the counter and I turned my nose up at first. Tried them and never looked back! Got my friend who works at Tesco to stock up for me. Before these I used sweet and low satchets or that half spoon sugar.

Yeah we use two in each hot drink. I buy the 300's and they're only £1 in Asda, £2 elsewhere!

I have used Boots own for years, never seem to leave an aftertaste. £2.19 for 1000.

I have Hermesetas at the moment. I have to put 8 in my coffee for it to be sweet like with a couple of spoonfuls of sugar and 3 in a cup of chocolate.
With only 2, it's like drinking coffee bitter really. I know my usage is bad, though.
I just buy the cheapest sweetener.

I could not imagine much worse than a cup of tea with sweeteners in it . Yuck! There is only one sweetener and that is sugar.

I have to use sweeteners for cups of tea and coffee and other food and drink, because I have type 2 diabetes.

I don't. They're necessary.

As I cannot stand the taste of these things I really feel sorry for you having to endure this.

I don't use artificial sweeteners. I just use sugar. I don't really need to replace sugar with anything.

Hit the nail right on the head. Sugar is the brain's energy. Be sensible with it though, don't go way overboard with it.

If you stick to one you get used to the taste and then sugar tastes far too sweet!

Every person to his/her own thing! They are just not for me & as a soft drinks drinker I object very strongly to them being used in non diet drinks.

Not artificial as such, but I use Truvia which is made from the Stevia plant.

To me personally it is the most like sugar I've found.

I thought only sugar was used in the non-diet ones!

Try a nice quality tea without anything to sweeten it. I used to take two sugars in every cup of tea I have daily and somewhere along the line realised that sweetening tea is just a habit and tried it without.

Decent tea actually tastes really good.

No! Just take a look at any UK Fanta or Tango or Lilt can as well as many others (NOT Coke,Pepsi or Irn Bru). It really pisses me off.

Yeah I can understand that. I honestly didn't know. They must use a combination of sugar and sweeteners then. I only drink diet Coke/Pepsi but do drink regular Tango orange, love it. Diet Tango is awful.
