Why in the blue hells is Steven Moffat putting 2 bratty annoying children in probably the best episode of series 7 (Nightmare in Silver). Please give them short parts and please don't have them in The Name Of The Doctor as kids don't work at all well in Doctor Who (Adric)

Don't worry they get turned into Cyberteens.

We've had Cybermen, Cybermats, Cybusmen and Cybershades but now Gaiman crosses the Cybermen with the ultimate evil of Teenagers to create the Cyberteen.

The episode isn't written by Steven Moffat.

It hasn't aired yet.

But don't let that stop you...

So you call the episode you haven't even seen, the best episode, yet state there are characters you think are bratty and annoying, even tho you've only seen them for 2 minutes?

Self entitled much?

Kids are always bratty and annoying and Neil Gaiman is writing it so it will be good.

So are some adults...

But yes, Neil Gaiman is writing this - I have high hopes for this one.

My biggest fear for this episode is that Angie and Artie save the day like how Craig saved the day in Closing Time

You're actually complaining about something that doesn't air for two weeks?!? Is this a pre-emptive complaint?

You missed out the word pointless.

Don't worry, I have it on similar good authority, viz bugger all, that Angie and Artie are graphically killed off in the opening minutes in a failed cybernisation operation and subsequently only appear as screaming disembodied heads the Cybermen attach to their breastplates as a disincentive for the humans to attack them.

If this isn't true I expect to be terribly disappointed

It's probably for a reason, like we find out that their mother was killed by aliens. I doubt they're just there to ruin it.

I'd like to rant about the appearance of Dick and Dom as Ant and Dec in episode 3 of series 10. Unconvincing to say the least.

Although, I quote like the idea of the Daleks' war-cry being "Let's get ready to rhumble!"

And have you noticed, Dalek Sec always stands on the left...?

angie and artie rant? sounds like a little writers in-joke, specifically about some people (not mentioning anyone), who enjoy ranting about anything, even stuff that you haven't even seen yet.

oh look this thread proves the writers point

FFS, couldn't you actually wait until the bloody episode airs and we see what Artie and Angie's actual roles are before going off on some idiotic rant?

Jesus, yet another dull thread complaining for the sake of it.

I don't think words can describe how annoying this thread is to me. First off, thanks for ruining the surprise that they were in the episode - SPOILERS!!! Second of all - how on earth do you know they are going to be bratty and annoying and I swear to god if you say all kids are bratty and annoying... Third of all you don't know it's going to be the best episode of the series. Fourth of all, you REALLY can't use one character (Adric) as a generalization of all child parts in Who and fifth and this really is the crucial point which underlines a couple of the points above:
YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE *""£"@ EPISODE YET!!!

(Unless you have, in which case SPOILERS!!)

1. Regardless of whether it is massive or not, it's not your place to decide if it is or not.

2. Some people avoid all spoilers of any kind and won't appreciate this one bit.

3. I love how you focus on one of my criticisms and ignore all the others because you know I'm right.

But what if Neil Gaiman was able to write the kids as not being bratty and annoying? Or what if they are bratty and annoying - would that make him not a good writer?

Would your head explode?

So you are complaining about two actors whose performances you've not seen, in an episode that's not going to be shown for two weeks??

I'm sure the production team will hastily re-edit the episode to satisfy your irrational hatred of child actors.

On the other hand - glad your ability to see into the future tells us that Nightmare In Silver will be the best episode of the series. That's a relief.

Lets look at modern Who and the children, this is from memory so please bare with me.

1. The empty Child - yeah that kid ruined that episode
2. School Reunion - all those kids, pah
3. Fear Her - (ok, she was a bit annoying)
4. The family of Blood - that girl with that balloon, totally ruined it
5. The 11th Hour - that young scottish one, dear oh dear
6. The big Bang - oh my lord, it's that scottish one again!
7. The Almost people - that little boy did an excited dance - just what gives huh? I turned off
8. Night Terrors - the dolls house I could handle, but the boy!! Sheesh
9. The Doctor, the widow and the wardrobe - more kids ruining the show

I am sure I have missed one or two, but I hope you get my point. With the exception of fear her all the children have added something to the show.
