I will still withhold judgment until I see the episode. As I say trust Gaiman. I must say I hate the smug, clever clever precocious kids archetype- Spielberg was always very fond as he proved with those two film destroying irritants in Jurassic Park.
I hope these two end up more on the side of wide eyed childhood innocence as opposed to arm folding smarty pants. But if they defeat the threat alone then I shall be cross. We shall see.

Yeah that's true, but she was written as a teenager. I don't mind kids in Doctor Who, Mainly because it keeps real kids interested and they are the ones who will keep the show going in the future. In fact the age of the characters is irrelevant, it's how they are written and fit into the story that matters.
