Which, in your opinion is the best Chinese curry sauce

Goldfish. Tastes exactly the same as any chinese curry sauce I have ever had.

I have it as a very rare treat with chips.

Mayflower powder from Farmfoods. If you can get the extra hot that's even nicer.

Another vote for the Goldfish Brand. I have it about 3/4 times a week. Spot on poured over a bowl of microwave fried rice at a fraction of the cost of the takeaway.

Another vote for Goldfish, a friend of mine works in a Chinese takeaway & he told me that the takeaway he works in actually purchases it in massive containers direct from Keejays who make it. I am not saying all takeaways do, but the one he works in, actually use it to make their curries for the customers.

I disagree. I tried the Asda curry sauce and it's got that sweet taste that the takeaway one doesn't have. It's the same with the Blue Dragon one. They're sweet.

Another on a similar theme is the Maykway brand.

It would be interesting to hear which one you like best as i have never tried the Mayflower.
One thing about the Goldfish is it is great for smearing a little on things like bland chicken wings before you cook them.

Goldfish.

Add a bit of oil and salt to make it taste exactly the same as the Chinese take away.

The smart price one? We think it's amazing for smart price (and it's only like 23p, AND vegan !).

Where do you get the Goldfish brand from?

Most Chinese supermarkets sell it. You can buy it online for about the same price but you have to pay £2.60 postage.

I have now tried both, great taste, and I enjoyed them. Not a lot of difference, but I think Maysan is slightly better. Have not seen Goldfish on sale yet
