HUMAX 1000s - lost On Demand, Showcase etc

I wonder if anyone else has experienced this problem?

Since October the 1000s has been working fine. However today I cannot access On Demand, Showcase and the TV guide doesn't show any programmes already transmitted.

I've checked the network connection and all is ok. In fact it is connecting ok as the web apps available via the TV Portal work fine.

I've done a factory reset and still the problem persists.

Any thoughts or solutions anyone?

Not really, perhaps a DNS setting if your router if not using DHCP for you WAN connection. Suggest you reset your router as after considerable continuous use they can give problems..

Problem resolved.

After all the faffing about the problem was a partially loose RJ45 plug in the Ethernet socket of the 1000S. Still find it hard to understand why the TV portal apps worked okay though? They do come via the web and not via the satellite don't they?
