I've always liked it, and never understood the derision it generates in some quarters. It wasn't boring, and that's all I ask of Doctor Who.
![]() All true, though, about the lack of any reason for the ridiculous Kalid disguise, unless the Master is supposed to be aware of the audience at home. |

This is about where I am. It's nice to see Tegan in her natural habitat (the airport), and in fact it's an enjoyable change just to see the Fifth Doctor on contemporary Earth for a bit.
All true, though, about the lack of any reason for the ridiculous Kalid disguise, unless the Master is supposed to be aware of the audience at home. So while the Doctor is dropping Tegan at Heathrow in time for her flight, the police were probably looking for her to answer a few questions about her shrunken, murdered aunt. |

The most interesting thing about Time Flight is that the TARDIS arrives at Heathrow (essentially) during the events of Logopolis. So Tegan's Aunt Vanessa had just been murdered by the Master (in real time). As had a policeman.

I like to think that the Master's disguise was to surprise The Doctor for fun and sounds like something he would do. After watching it all, it did have a lot of plot holes and go down hill after episode 2 but the ideas were good and not at all is it as bad as people make out!

Another link between Doctor Who and the Great Escape - Nigel Stock to go with William Russel!
Anymore Great Escape links? |

I think that Time Flight is second only to Twin Dilemma as the worst ever Who story. There just seems nothing to like about it. Sometimes you can see a good idea that's not been well executed, but I don't think they even have much of an idea, other than showing off that they could get access to Heathrow and Concorde.
And yes, the Kalid disguise is pointless, stupid and annoying. |
