Yes Martha and Mickey are back and their not alone. they have a son it seems..

I know i wont be satisfied until they announce a Classic Who character, whats so bloody difficult, we had a lot of old characters in Sarah Jane. so they should be aloud to the party in this tale?

I always thought Martha was some what under rated as a companion actually.

They mentioned meeting up on twitter a few weeks ago and Noel's a dad so that photo is in no way confirmation of a return, though I wouldn't be surprised if we see Noel he did seem to hint at having filmed something for the 50th a few weeks ago.

I don't think that M&M are definitely in the 50th. There's a pic of Noel and Freema together, but as far as I've seen, there's no actual confirmation that this is anything to with the 50th.
Unless anyone has proof?

They were just having a friends lunch in central London. Nothing more.

That's what they want you to think?! Isn't it just a bit odd that these two characters are together, clues being 1. in end of time they were together and married, on twitter noel says #wife.
2. being that they are currently filming who's 50th, as we speak.

3. Unless Noel is having a affair and calling Freema his wife? just use your imagination i believe its true, with all the other new who characters returning i wouldn't be surprised.

Yay!!! I hope they are returning! Martha is my favourite companion!

They weren't exactly top of my list to return. And I don't think this is any proof they are. Friends having a lunch perhaps and nothing more?

Freema is not in th 50th.

Neither is Noel.

No contracts, nada, nuffink. Just met up for lunch.

Oh FFS. These are two people simply having lunch. At no point have either said that they are in the 50th. It's not even a rumour - it's someone leaping wildly to to the wrong conclusion.

I act, and have played husband to a few different women. Each one of them, I still call my 'wife'. All my friends do it. Quite a few of those who I know who act full time do it. It's a 'thing'.

That looks like a picture of two friends, one of whom has a son, in Central London. And is by no means proof of anything, nor is calling someone you once acted with as her husband, 'wife'.

To be fair who could object to a brief cameo similar to their appearance in The end of time..
Doctor who "fans" really piss me off with their constant moaning..
There's just no pleasing some folk

Of all the wonderful former companions over the last 50 years they could bring back, why them?

As much as its obvious they aren't cameo-ing, just friends meeting up, I really want then to cameo now just to spite you after such an extremely melodramatic response

My 12 year old niece loved Martha so she would certainly be one who would be happy to have her back.

I'm less sure about Mickey - his initial apperances were kind of lame but he got better.

The crucial question is who is the kid? A fan, relative, child actor?

It would be great to see Martha again. I actually yearn for those times with her as companion. Jenna may be utterly gorgeous but the character of Clara...isn't a character. She isn't really written as anything!

So the OP jumped the gun a bit without thinking and 'assumed' that they were to return later this year. They took the news out of context a lot, didn' they?

Lovely picture! I've just looked at it. All I did was type ''freema ageyman noel clarke" into Google and the picture came up in images.

As Freema mentioned back in Feb, she was NOT to return this year.

I get the feeling that her vagueness her ill defindness is deliberate, it's certainly a big contrast to Martha who had a big messy family around her.

The problem with Martha and Micky both, for many fans I'd imagine, is that they were both in crucial respects written as weak characters. And given the fact that we're all people who spend as much of our time as we do arguing Who with strangers on the Internet, I imagine their particular weaknesses probably hit a little too close to home for most of our breed. But they weren't poorly written or poorly acted characters, and I was glad to see their portayals. That said, it wodnt advance much dramatically to see their return. We'd get a reaction to a regeneration out of it, and probably not much more.

Personally while rewatching her season I've not found Martha to be weak. Overshadowed by Rose maybe but not weak. It takes serious guts to travel the world telling people about The Doctor.

Agree 100%. In her early episodes, in particular, she's really funny, smart and strong. And throughout her run, she continued to be brave and show her commitment to the Doctor, even when it became obvious (to the audience and Martha herself) that - in the eyes of the Doctor - she was just his rebound companion.

1) That is Noel Clarke's son. 2) This is not the first time Noel Clarke has tweeted a picture of himself and Agyeman.

3) Mickey, weak? Have you watched The Age of Steel-Journey's End? Before that he attacked a Slitheen with a Kitchen chair and then launched a missiile of Downing Street. And Martha's journey/stand off in the series three finale was a testament to the power of inner strength and endurance. Plus she threatened to blow up the Earth just to troll Davros and stop him unravelling reality.
