No, statistically I'm not. Those who bought her album are a subset of a minority.
Still enough to get her Album to no 10. So not so minor.

Brilliant, Bo Bruce at No 10 and Becky Hill singing a track on Rudimental's No 1 album. Well done to both.
Great well done bo now no one can say the Voice hasn't produced a successful artist because if they do now we can just tell this. So happy for her and it is a great album

Completely agree - it's great to see Bo doing so well with her album. And Becky too!

Top 10 is a huge achievement, hopefully album no.2 will chart EVEN higher (fingers crossed!)

Funny how all those who were saying The Voice hasn't produced a successful artist have gone very quiet lately

It debuted 6 places behind an album that has been in the charts for 64 weeks. It sold less than 10 thousand copies to get to number 10 and it's likely to drop out of the top 40 on its second week. Not a success really for someone who has been played on the radio in the build up to the release, and was on TV prime time slot for 10 weeks (or more) last year.
And statistically artists made famous via talent shows its the debut albums that sell the most with diminishing returns on follow ups.

I'm pleased for Bo. She was the one I wanted to win last year. Top ten sounds very good on paper, but it depends more on sales.

It pains me to type that however as I like her and want her to do well. As long as she is able to make music I don't think she cares about rubbing shoulders with *insert current popular artist*

The fact is that for a new artist a top ten album is very good no matter what way you try and spin it. Yes it didn't beat some albums that have been there for weeks, but there's a big clue why that is and that's because their great albums by very popular artist not even xfactor artist can beat some of them. Many people said that the voice hasn't created a star but its time to accept it has and am so glad for Bo she deserves it.

Am thinking the music company will be happy with the fact she has had a top ten ablum. Its a great start for bo and hope it continues for her

A star isn't someone who sells less than 10k albums. When she's had numerous albums that chart high and hang around the charts, singles people can name and sell out the biggest venues in the world and headline the big festivals - then we can say star. Right now with a album tumbling down the charts after 1 week - she's barely an all so ran!

Your comparing a new artist to big stars lol no one said she's a star what people have said is she's successful which she is, not many new artist have got in to the chart let alone a top 10 album. You can keep trying to spin it all you want but the fact is a top ten album for a brand new artist is great and lots of new artist would love to be in that place. Plus most Xfactor albums don't tend to hang around the charts for long.

Bear in mind The Voice isn't about finding "A Star". It's about (primarily) having the best voice.

Bo also writes her own material and has a superb recording voice that isn't generic, so she has a lot going for her. I don't see her as a long term, hit after hit, pop star. I see her future in song-writing, performing and recording/producing interesting music.

I agree she has started off well and she is already leads The Voice singers from last year. She didn't even win last year so she can find her own way without the burden of 'The Voice Winner'.

The naysayers should save their energy for Leanne Mitchell and leave Bo to follow her own path.

No if that was the case then little mix would have been dropped by now. There last single didn't even get in to the top ten

The album sales were 9,431 - it's not what I would call a stunning performance.

Alternative albums don't do half as well in the charts as Pop Albums. But Bo wasn't going to go pop to sell a few more thousand albums. I am glad she is recording the music she loves and not selling out to pop to get in the charts.

She isn't though. So that's irrelevant.

Bo Bruce is not alternative, haha - she's MOR/adult contemporary which at the minute is in vogue.

Bo's on Daybreak tomorrow (even ITV acknowledge her) along with Radio 2, talking about her album and the Star Trek soundtrack she recorded.

Didn't her father disown her? Probably for a good reason.
