I was going via the UKTV listings on there own website! Which shows Blighty closing at 2.56 am on the 6th. Then for the rest of the 6th Blighty no longer appears.

Not the best time, hopefully the box will download the programmes from Gold so that when I get home in the evening I can re tune it. It did this last time Gold moved if I recall correctly.
They could have done a slightly better job on this and at least allowed you to do it a bit later in the day. |

LCNs are just that - logical.
They are virtual channel numbers used to sort the channels into a logical order. Technically they are defined using the NorDig descriptor format in the Network Information Table. The TUTV box and any other box that doesn't renumber channels automatically will just ignore LCN changes until the next retune. The Programme Map Table won't change, so any programmes should be downloaded as normal. |

Disappointed after seeing the Radio times this morning that The Bill is going to be shifted off to first thing in the morning and last thing at night on Drama. So disappointed that I may give the whole channel a miss.

Yes, they are a UK thing largely, most countries don't use them.

I wonder if there's any chance of the midnight showing of The Bill at least being an unedited version? i.e. they could leave in any swearing or violence that they might have to take out at 8am. I'd have thought both versions would be the same sadly but hope there aren't too many cuts - the 2nd live episode of The Bill is virtually unwatchable when repeated on Watch; you have a man lying on the floor having been shot without showing any of the bit leading up to the shooting! I do find it a bit weird as to be honest The Bill isn't really a violent programme at all and of course was largely shown in a pre-watershed slot (not at the very end though of course!)

Many do however. UK, Ireland, France, Australia, and I believe New Zealand for starters.
Obviously the UK uses LCNs as that is what is being discussed and Ireland broadly uses the same standards as the UK. New Zealand also uses LCN's and Australia has a slightly more convoluted system. LCNs are also used in Italy although I haven't heard about them being used in France. That's pretty much it. |

IIRC the Netherlands also use them with radio services starting from 1 again (hence the irritating TV/Radio split on many boxes). Sweden does as well. The only countries I know which don't use LCNs are the German speaking ones. |

Looking forward to watching Rumpole Of The Bailey again.
Interesting to see that Yesterday's schedule for next week has cut back on the drama content - apart from Ballykissangel there's very little drama content on at all - they obviously realise there will be a conflict and tried to reposition Yesterday's content where it used to be. |

Thanks for that, kev. My TV has just started populating the EPG, but the PVR is still waiting. I will retune the STB after I've watched the cycle racing.

I dare say this channel will appeal to a few people and it is good to have choice but to be honest, I don't think I'll be watching anything here. |

The following week I feel is more to my taste (Jonathon Creek, Cold Comfort Farm) but you need a 14-day EPG for those at this stage.
