Dave Ja Vu's residual hours perhaps.

except part of that corresponds to Dave's downtime.

There's three programmes, repeats of the previous day.

Oh, sorry, no it can't since part of that corresponds to Dave's downtime.”

You're right, Djv is still showing the full Dave schedule at +1 hour.

They don't even use the DVB standard.

The TV/radio split is pretty standard outside the UK and Ireland. All DVB-T boxes in Europe have it as do all fta satellite boxes. The excellent Woolworths Worthit Freeview box also had it.

And a mysterious 2am to 5am gap in the Drama EPG. Interesting as Digiguide lists programmes until 4am and Drama was initially supposed to be a freeview exclusive. Were the extra hours meant to keep their overnight security staff entertained?

Interesting that Dave goes off-air at 3am, so Djv's last hour is not a repeat.

Presumably Dave is 24hr on Sky.

Also I note that UKTV are happy for both channels to start up and close down in the middle of programs.

Maybe they don't expect anyone to be watching in the middle of the night.

Keeping the EPG number alive again then for potential future use!

Putting Home on TUTV on a Friday means that Gold starts part way through a programme, it is something UKTV don't seem to worry about.

On Virgin (last time I checked) there was a channel off air slate on Dave from 3am until the teleshopping strand starts at 4am, the EPG suggests that this is still the case. Digiguide also shows no programmes on Dave between 3am and 4am. It looks like the last hour of Dave Ja Vu is going to be the TV equivalent of watching paint dry.

Of course, EPG squatting on 25, 26 and 54 is a good strategy. They have successfully launched a new channel, which would otherwise have no realistic hope of gaining a prominent EPG slot, to a slot higher in the EPG than established channels such as ITV4 and E4.

I'm watching to see what happens when ESPN closes on TUTV, it will be interesting to see if they try to move Home from 54 to 34.

Apparently no longer.

At 3am on Tuesday Dave will switch off in the middle of "Mock the Week", but at 4am DJV will show the rest of it and go on to show Frank Skinner's Opinionated.

And presumably 41 & 42 will go at some point as well.

They could all just drop down to fill the gap, though I suspect that 4seven would like to stay on 47.
(a mystery to me why C5+1 went on 44 and not 51)

It's a sad reflection of the state of TV when watching LCNs change is more interesting than watching the programme content.

I suspect a lot of channels are reluctant to move once they have established a loyal viewership who know the LCN. New channels are more likely to take the opportunity of a move.

Yeah but they were BT streams not TUTV streams so not even UKTV could come up with a reason to squat there.

Unless...

Perhaps you are looking in the wrong place. Content is more likely to be discussed in the Broadcasting, TV Shows and Entertainment threads.

In the case of "Home" that's probably true.

Aha! maybe that's why they are only on for 1 hour a week.

44 was the lowest available LCN at the time.
Have a read of this: http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/__data/as...2013_FINAL.pdf

btw, the most likely use of 41 & 42 is either (a) Film4+1 (associated channel status with 4seven, plus it is run by a PSB) and/or (b) Travel Channel (associated channel status with Food Network, which could conceivably also move to join it)

While we are on the subject of the Drama channel ( ), does anyone know the Radio Times ID code for it (and for that matter Movie Mix also) ?

Interesting, although Dave's streams on Arqiva A are turned off between 3am and 7am, it isn't currently used by any other service. Perhaps Dave's hours could also be extended at some point.

Having said that, Really has content between 4am and 8am on other platforms while its streams are turned off on freeview. A little more complicated though, as "Blue" is active from 4am to 5am. Perhaps "Blue" could be moved into the empty 5am to 6am slot on Arqiva B (where 5am to 8am is available).

3am -7am was inhabited by a slapper channel once upon a time.

Probably Party before its hours were extended (midnight to 7am) on the part time 12th stream.
